if your wife gave you $10,000 to buy revolvers, what would you get!!!

1: 1 each Dan Wesson Pistol pack in .22 Mag and .32 H&R

2: Marlin Cowboy in .32 H&R.

3: A Coonan/.357 Mag.

“If” any money is left over I’d buy reloading components for said calibers and/or .22 Mag ammo

Opps: overlooked the revolver only requirement. If that’s the case….along with the pistol packs mentioned above.

1: Ruger Hunter in .22/.22 Mag

2: New Schofield in .45 Colt

3: Italien clones of what Tuco, Angel Eyes and the Man with No Name carried.

3: If enough money is left over one each of The Last Cowboy or John Wayne Single 6 versions in .32 H&R.

If constrained to revolvers, I'd start looking for the best condition 1st gen SAA I could get for the price, or I'd start buying up all the good condition early 2nd gens I could get.

For fun, a .44 Schofield. (Modern replica, of course. I want a shooter.)

A good quality reliable revolver suitable for CCW. An identical spare. Accessories and accouterments. Some good quality, probably custom, holsters. A crapton of ammo. Suck the rest of the ten grand up with training.

A Webley Bulldog in 450 Adams
As mint a Webley Mark VI as I could find along with several Prideaux speedloaders.
A pair of Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 with duel shoulder rig (Yes I have watched The Mummy a few too many times)
A S&W 681 and have it converted to a round butt 10mm Auto
A S&W Terrier in 38 S&W

While I do not need an allowance to buy some special revolvers, my holy grail these days are S&W K-32 and Model 16-0 through 16-3 revolvers (32 S&WL). I’d also like to find an 8-3/3” Model 16-4 (32 H&R Mag)

$10k might get three if one is a 16-4.

I like those top three. I second the #1 and #3 as my first two purchases, then the Marlin.

Stay safe.

16-4 in .357 but 6” style is available. if it’s still there in 2 weeks, I’ll put an offer on it.

I would buy a handful of Ruger Blackhawks. Then I would pick one to get sent to Bowen Classic for a full action job, new sights, have them install a Ronnie Wells grip frame with ivory scales, and caliber conversion to 50 JRH or .475 Linebaugh. After that I’d have it sent to Jim White in Wasilla Alaska for some filigree and scroll work.

And I would tell my kids if they ever sold it I’d haunt them and their kids!
