I've got to run and get 36,000 rounds of pistol ammo sitting on a pallet waiting for me. 20,000 9mm 10,000 .45 ACP 6,000 .40 :D

Pitty I won't have much of it after Sunday since my wife and I and a couple of buddies will shoot 10,000 of it up this weekend and the rest goes to other folks in a class we're taking.

Sounds like an excelent way to spend Memorial Day weekend. I hope to do a little shooting myself. Maybe not 10,000 rounds but shooting none the less.

Yeah, but you ain't 4,700 bucks in for it either. After a while it quit being so cool loading it into Paul's truck in 82 degree 110% relative humidity.

It does look neat all stacked though.:D

"Walked up Fourth St., walked down Main,
Lookin' for a guy with ammo to burn...
Hey, hey shoot a thousand rounds on me..."

:D

Dude the people at Wal Mart look at you funny when you buy a few hundred. They'ed crap themselves and have a heart attack with that order lol

How much of the $4700 was shipping?

If free, you are looking at about $0.13/round. Not too much better than I'm doing for .40 & 45 in measly little case lots and a bit worse than I do for 9mm. I'd expected a bigger quantity discount :)

Wally,

Who's the manufacturer and where do I go to get it?

The 9mm was $106/1k delivered. If I had wanted to drive to Nashville it would have been $108, but that's gas and time. If I had wanted to drive 8 hours it would have been $85/1k, but my times worth more than $10/hr by a factor of 10 so that's no deal.

What R you some kind of baby killin', redneck, militant, gun nut crazy?:scrutiny: :neener:

Or are you just looking for a little economy of scale range fun? :D

Wow you, my friend, have some range ammo for quite awhile. Good on you.

Hell, I'm in Nashville and have a truck I would have delivered for the low low fee of a few hundred rounds..

Chris

cslinger,

We'll probably do the Quick Kill training again in the fall so don't be suprised if we take you up on it.

I just moved 50,000 rounds from VA to GA and you'd be surprised at how small an area it takes up (didn't count my .22 rounds in the above figure) All but about 7000 rounds are in this pic...

Throw a few hundred my way! :D Help a poor newbie out!

Yeah, I was also wondering how much that much ammo weighs. What kind of vehicle did you transport it in? That had to weigh a lot!

Could you just imagine the field day the press would have with this if he was pulled over and inspected?

Let the comments start :D ...................................

We used a U-haul and took along a bunch of other things as well. The ammo was pretty heavy...taking it all off the truck 3 cases at a time...wiped me out. Next time I move my shooting buddies will get a great deal on some cheap ammo ;)

The real fun was in the back of my SUV...which was literally full to the top of rifle boxes (about 30 in all)...
