I got 3 45's...a stainless Colt Gold Cup National Match ( accurate as hell ), a stainless S&W model 645 ( 2nd Gen...1st 45 they made...1985 ), and my carry piece, a black Para Ord P-12 ( perfect carry package for me...6'1 1/2" 190lbs )
When I'm at the outdoor range, I practice presentation from concealment, shootin from different positions and movin' and shootin. In the scheme of things, I'm gonna be the wolf, not a sheep !

I don't have any .45 auto-loaders right now but a CZ 97B is on the list. I have a Taurus 455HS4 in .45 ACP on it's way and I have a Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Cassul, but they aren't autos.

Colt...Colt...and did I mention Colt?

Oh and I like my .45 in Tactical Tupperware too...Glock.

But, I am not clear....did I mention Colt?

Well, I've presently got 6 different .45's ... 3 Colts of different sizes, a Ruger P-90, a S&W 4513TSW and a CS45 ...

I carry one of my 9mm or .40 pistols more often (when I'm not carrying a 642 J-frame), but both of the S&W's have been very good pistols, and I like them a lot. The 4513TSW is especially accurate and fits my hand well (although I had to modify a set of Hogue grips to fit it, because mine is the original pre-railed TSW with the cutaway front strap), and I'd recommend it to anyone desiring a compact .45 TDA pistol.

I've done some shooting recently with a SW1911, Wilson CQB and a Colt GSP ... and they're all reasonably accurate, reliable and nice handling examples of the modern 1911 platform. If I had to spend my own money on a new full-size all-steel 1911, it would be a toss-up between the SW1911 and the GSP.

I don't care for most of the other compact & subcompact 1911's I've handled and shot in recent years.

I really enjoy shooting my S&W 645. I do well with 200 grain lead bullets. Cleaning the pistol is a breeze.

Colt Series 70 '81 vintage. I am working on getting a couple more of them, but it is a hell of a problem getting a license for one here. This is the only auto I own.

Wilde,
Lovely weapon, might I suggest you add a few Wilson Combat magazines to your kit?

Thanks SatKong

I prefer the standard Colt 7rounders. It is quite a performance to get wilson parts here. I cannot mail order from Wilson. I have tried ordering stuff from them before but I could not get them to ship here. The Colt mags work fine for me and I just trash it when they become a bit beat-up.

I have a Sig P220 ; Para P14; and my favorite of all the CZ97Bs. Can shoot 'em all day without a whimper and they are VERY accurate!

I like .45 and Colt too, just depends how you arrange the words and punctuation.

Kimber Custom I. Shoots all day without a hitch, and doesn't complain when I use "economy" ammunition.

And it's just plain purdy too. :D
