Polish Tantal w/ bad barrel

How do you know it is bent, have you dropped a rod down it's leangth?

I'd probably sell it but don't know how much to sell a rifle with a bad barrel for. What is it worth?

For reference I just bought a Tantal and paid $470 for it. It is one of their new ones with the correct barrel and rifle twist. Based on what I paid for a good one yours is probably worth about $150 to $200 based on what the parts kits are going for. This is taking out the cost of the barrel.

what is this honestly? dont know what to expect? EXPECT and DEMAND whats right. hound them until they back their defective product up, period the end. dont let THEM tell YOU what your moneys worth cause its worth every penny you paid. in a perfect world you could conk them upside the head with a barrel they wont replace but you cant. so do the next best thing and be the squeaky whell. call weekly, that doesnt work daily, that doesnt work HOURLY. thats a load of crap if you ask me.

I unfortunately got one of the same rifles, and had to have it rebarrelled. I have owned 7 Tantals in the last four years, loved every one of them, I got a lemon in this one. The round jammed, causing the cartridge to become "sleeved" in the barrel as a gunsmith rod pushed the primer/bottom of the cartridge completed out. Thus, it pitted the inside of the barrel. I had to get a new barrel. This was due to the severe pitting from trying to get the spent cartridge out which was my doing, I trust someone here may have a viable means or the right way to get this problem solved. Century, which has a tradition of excellent service, quoted the 30 day return policy. I am dismayed given the number of these rifles that were barrelled incorrectly and personally feel they should honor repairing these rifles. Being an FFL dealer, it left a bad taste with me on how they handled the situation given the number of bad rifles that were sold.

Some dealers still have bad tantals in their inventory and are selling them.

What's the practicality of taking the barrel out, stripping it, and sending it out to be chromed to make-up the difference and give the barrel a longer lifespan?
