No doubt the Bullet in question offers a pretty disrupting experience for it's recipient...and, whoever else is behind them..!

Did you notice that under the .45acp section the 185 gr. load does not actually appear. In it's place the Hydra Shok load appears again.


Nevermind I see it was fixed!

I didn't see any information on the blocks of gel used. In your post above you mention that the gel used for the .44 was 20%. I don't see that mentioned, at least not on the page where the vids are. I also notice a second block in back of the first. Is that second one the block that left the table? Are the blocks of the same size and type for the other vids with the other rounds and calibers?

Yes - thank you for the heads up on the broken links. I think that they have all been fixed.

All of the blocks from this shoot (the shots posted under the high speed video section currently) are 20% gelatin blocks, measuring 5" x 5" on the face, by 10.0" deep.

It was actually the first block that took the trip off of the table. Second block was 'barely' damaged in comparison to the first. About two inches of penetration into the second block.

The information about the bullet diameters and the pictures of the recovered bullets will be available next week. We're fully involved in the data collection process right now ... the data reduction will have to come into play next week.
 
Amazing videos all around. I'd love to see the same setup for .38Spl. +P and .357Mag into the same gelatin.

The ones that really made me go "OUCH!" were the .44Mag and 10mm. Those made the blocks distort out and jump with such energy that it seems apparent that there would be shock damage done that extended beyond the initial wound channel.

The other interesting one is the .22 Velocitor shots taken from both the handgun and rifle. The rifle demonstrated a LOT more energy. Along the same line as this I'd love to see what the blocks do with .357 from a 4 inch barrel vs a 20 inch lever rifle barrel.
