I have been familiar with it for many years, I used to like it more, and still read the articles occasionally, but I generally agree that these days it is simply an online version of a gun rag. It is ok for pictures and getting a little basic info on the products, but I don't trust the "reviews" very much anymore. To me anyway, they seem to usually have "spin" and don't seem to reflect reality as much as they once did. For example accuracy is almost always reported to be "good" even when the reported groups don't seem that impressive. Even when accuracy seems rather poor it is reported something like "acceptable combat accuracy" or "as good as my abilities" or "guns like this are not intended for target work" rather than calling a spade a spade and just saying the groups were not as good as they could/should have been. This isn't really an attack on Jeff as it is probably hard not to let it influence your reviews and writing style when the gun companies go out of their way to foster a relationship with you and your "perks" and access depends in part on not making them mad through blunt and straightforward articles criticizing shortcomings of their products. It does tend to diminish credibility though when nearly every review is a very positive review that seems like it sugar coats any problems or issues experienced. We all know new guns are not always that good.
