Re Loading 270 Winchester

Lots do I am sure, but it probably wont matter much as your rifle will like what it likes lol. I would suggest working one up for YOUR gun. That is half of the fun and you will get the best results that way.

I've killed a lot of big game with the 270 win. using a 130 gr. with a good slow burning powder, IMR-4350 or RL19 will get er done quite well. Those two powders are very good for that cartridge and bullet weight. I've made one shot kills out past 600 yds. with a 130 gr. BT using those powders. Just don't try to reduce the powder charge below minimum, best performance is mid to upper load range.

Anyone have a good recipe for 270 Winch. with IMR 4895 and 130 gr Hornady?
I have an excellent 270 Winchester load but you specified a particular powder and bullet. What you have to do is proceed with the usual prudent load workup for your rifle. No one should advise you of a "good recipie" with the restrictions you have set.

Be advised, however, that the powder/bullet you have chosen may not result in as good accuracy and/or velocity as some other combination.

I had one rifle that shot anything you fed it well. Another took 18 different load combinations to reach the magic inch group. That load went from 2 1/2 inch groups to 3/4 inchers just with a seating depth adjustment. Pick one from a RECENT manual and let the fun begin!
