I love the 9mm Makarov. First center-fire I shot was a Makarov, and I think that the round speaks to me. There is a Ukrainian handgun, called the 'Fort-12', is chambered in that round. The Fort-12 (ФОРТ-12) looks nice, and I would love information on it. I have read much, but I cannot find if they are sold here in America. If not, then I guess that the best bet for a 9mm Makarov gun in the U.S. is a P64, Makarov PM, or a Cz. 82/83.

It looks like it is basically a CZ-82/83 with with slide stop pin takedown instead of the hinged trigger guard and some CZ-75 cosmetic touches.

It's really a shame since they are just drowning in cool guns they can't get rid off. They are even resorting to converting TT-33's to air pistols just so they can sell them.

The Hungarian PA63 is a nice little pistol using the 9mm Mak round. I got mine for $180 and then changed the springs and grips.
Very, very reliable. Some of the newer pocket pistols are lighter but this is easily concealable. I would highly recommend for some who wants to CCW on a budget.

Ukraine is not Russia. Items could be exported from there.
They would have been smarter if they bought up CZ82s from Czechs for <$50 per gun. Have you considered EZ9 from Serbia (same folks at different geographical location). It's their clone of Sig Sauer and I have seen them NIB at local shows for $300. I wouldn't be surprised if these are better then sainted CZ75 but am pretty sure they are better then Fort-12 from 'Breadbasket of Europe'.
I would try CZ999 'Scorpion' (known as EZ9 in US) or more correctly ZCZ (little red factory from Kragujevac) and celebrate by gulping down some kielbasa on Ukrainian bread washed down with extra Zytnia.

It only looks like a P226. Its basically a Walther P.88 minus the slide mounted safety and feeding from slightly modified Beretta 92 magazines.
I don't have much time with one in hand but they seem like very solid pistols.
...also, it has no relation to the Czech CZ, it is just a coincidence of initials.
