I don't find it funny in the least, or helping the shooting sports at all.

Cheesy, I know, and an old joke, but it gets grins and comments nonetheless. I'm not a huge fan of wearing gun related apparel (NRA hats, Colt tshirts, etc), but I would love to have a few more gun related shirts of a more jocular nature. Anybody have a source they like?

And has some Bubba looking hillbilly wielding some AK looking thing with a bayonet and grenade launcher.

not something I would typically buy for myself, but i wear it on speshul occasions.

I have a Tshirt with a picture of a 9mm handgun on it and the caption reads "9 perfectly good reasons for you to shut the %#*} up"

Got it at an adult bookstore oddly enough

Both my sons have T's that are more hunting gun related.

One shows ducks and calls. Slogan..."When nature calls, call back"

The other shows rifle cartridge horozontal. Above the cart. slogan..."you don't hunt?..."
below the cart. slogan..."I'm wasting time talking to you"

These so-called "humorous" T-shirts are almost never a good idea, from a gun owners' PR viewpoint. They usually prove that the wearer is a jerk.

I like the one from Magpul that has a bunch of nuns in the old style habits holding m16's. The quote underneath is "Worst Case Scenario".

I've gotta agree with a good amount of the ones I've seen... though I liked this one in particular:

And the ones with Lady Liberty/Abraham Lincoln/etc having an AK47... is a bit odd IMO since in general that weapon is associated with communism(I'm about to buy an AK74 or Saiga because they are great weapons, but even I don't think that is an accurate representation of what represents the Right to Bear Arms in America). I think that an AR15/M16/1911/Winchester bolt action rifle would be a better way to convey the message, but that's just me being picky.



That said, I don't think I'd wear many of them out in public, at least not on a regular basis... maybe to a gun show or shooting range or something where others could get a good laugh.

flatlander, the gun in the link looks an awful lot like a Carcano. The government certainly feared that rifle in Dallas, 11/22/63.

Maybe it's the other way around.

I have one I got from "The Gun Store" in Las Vegas a few years back.

Shows a Glock style handgun and boldly says 'I Don't call 9-1-1'

Also have one I got from Ruger several years back...picture of a stainless steel Vaquero on it, along with "Ruger Vaquero

I bought that shirt at a wal mart.

Every gun show has these shirts, as well as signs and bumper stickers.

My only gun shirt says (in small, understated print) "If you can read this, you're in range."

I also have a Beretta shirt, but it just has the triple-arrow and says "Team Beretta". Not really a funny shirt.

Edit: Wow, some of the shirts on the wearagun.com site actually have typos. I support the mission, and some are cute, but editing is good.

Notably: Misspell is "Miss spel" on a shirt. And I don't think it's on purpose. Also improper use of "Its" on "A government should fear it's people".

Also a few more threatening/confrontational ones than I'd prefer. Not great for public image of shooters.

I have yet to see a "funny" gun shirt that I would wear. The closest I get to wearing gun-related apparel is an NRA ballcap that hangs on a nail in my gun room.

I have one with the 2nd Amendment on it, but my favorite "humorous" t-shirt is the Celebrate Diversity shirt from thoseshirts.com. I don't wear it often, but it gets smiles when I do. My daughter wore out her Kalashnikitty shirt; need to buy her another.

I have a few that are worn to the range. I also have one I wear in public. It sports a medium S&W logo, a black and white rendition of 6 rounds of ammo, and the phrase "bullets make me happy"

I generally receive nothing but good feedback from that one, and have signed up several people for PTC classes as a result.

I had a tshirt I loved when I was a teenager. It had a silhouette of a Barrett .50 cal M82A1 on it and it read:

.50 caliber long distance,
reach out an touch someone.

Not very PC, but this 17-year-old loved it. I looked through my old crap last year, and I couldn't find it

One such shirt I recall had several "bullet holes" in it and the caption "Body Piercing by Smith & Wesson." I am guilty of tasteless humor on occasion, but would not actually wear such a thing.

T shirts aside At the end of the drive I have an old piece of round 1/4 plate steel painted with a smiley face sporting 2 bullet holes through the center hanging from a sign that states "You Are Now In Range". I don't get many unknown visitors these days.
