when my mother was looking for a defense oriented pistol, she was set on getting a glock 17, and after eventually firing the m&p, walked out with one, in .40, at that, instead of the glock. Problem is, the trigger doesn't break as well as the glock that she got. Do you guys know of an improved trigger kit that you can buy and install in the gun?
Is $78.58 +SH a good price for the competition kit?
who is the best source for Mags?
it is a range gun, training for competition.
Mine has the competition kit - you'll be amazed at the difference.
I can just look hard at my trigger & it goes off ....
I really like it. But you'll have to get use to it ... it is a very light trigger.
Ayoob's article in the current issue of Combat Handguns (May 2012):I'd never want that on a defensive firearm.
Never conceal cary ... even though it's holster covers the trigger.

I have not found any great "deals" on M&P mags. From most anywhere I expect to pay about $30-$35.
