An ode to the 4" medium frame revolver...

With all the great photos I wish I had a good digital camera and knew how to post pics. I would show my 4" S&W 10-8 (38 Special) and my 4" S&W 547 (9MM) revolvers.
 
The only D/A revolver I have is a {GASP!} RG .38Spl snubby. It looks sorta like a Mdl 10 knock-off.

Now, I DO have a 4-1/2" (or so) 50th Year Single-Six, a 4-5/8" 50th Year .357 Blackhawk, and a 3-3/4" Sheriff's Model Glossy Stainless Vaquero. Gotta get my digi-cam going and take a few pix...

The 4-inch medium revolver is what pops into my brain when I hear the word, "gun". It is the archetype for me. Sadly, at my local range all I ever see are snub .38s and black semiautos. The service-size revolvers are getting less and less popular it seems.

I can guarantee you that any range where I am on the line will have a 4" .357 shot on it that day-MINE
