Has anybody seen the the pawn stars show where at the end they have the shoot off to see who can shoot the best? If so do you know what kind of guns Chum and the old man shot. Chums looked like a mini ar15 and I have never seen anything like the old mans gun. They were both simi auto. Thanks

Thanks Mikael I will look it up. It looked like by the holes it was big cal. Chums was something like a kids ar15. It looked cool.

Was Chumlee's AR small? I will have to watch again, I just assumed it looked small Chumlee is not a small guy.

The old man had a Beretta CX4 Storm, Chum had a standard AR-15 (he's just a big guy) and Corey had an AR57.

Entertaining as always, Pawn Stars is easily one of my favorite shows.

What tickled me is Chum called it an AK right before he shot. They are a hell of a set of characters. My wife and I got married in Vegas and we met them. Chum isnt as dumb as he acts, it actually suprised me some of the stuff he knew. Great people though, as nice as can be.

I noticed their security guard was open carrying in a few episodes in a non retention holster. That always struck me as a bad idea in a situation where you may get into a scuffle.

I like that show too. Mostly because of Peaches.

The new one with the tats is pretty easy on the eyes, too. :)

Obviously Chum is a poster here and gets the "this is an AK according to the media" joke. :)

Did anyone also notice that it looked like all the Winchester rounds keyholed in the target..

Hell yeah ForumSurfer, never thought of that...lol. I love to see some of the classics that come through there. When we were there I traded a WWII British(India made) bayonet for some collectable stuff for my nephew. The crazy part is they have showed that bayonet atleast 15 times during the filler clips of the show.

.

Did you see the one last night where they go to the range to shoot the shotgun and he owner has to shoot it. He missed first, then hits it. They dont buy the gun.

The range seems to be miles long. It's huge.

I was thinking that after my last post that chum is so big it prob made it look small but I knew he called it something diff. I thought chum was a lot smarter than he acts. They do seem like good guys. I love watching it. The cajun pawn stars was pretty good to. I wish they had more guns on them but they still have enough.
Yeah I would not have bought that shotgun either. What makes those wells fargo guns so cool is the short barrel. The first thing I thought was why did it have a long barrel.
Thanks everybody. I knew if I was going to find out quick I would do it on here.

I just looked up that beretta cx4 storm. That was it. That is a cool gun. I think Chum's did have a short barrel though. It just threw me off him calling it something else.

Gatling Cannon

I liked the one where they go test fire the Gatling Cannon, but the guy just wanted too much money. A few days later I was watching another one of those Reality shows, this one out in Colorado... Gunsmoke is the name of the company, anyway a guy brings in a Walker Colt, and and early follow on Colt of limited run. He was asking 10k for the Walker, and 450k for the Colt. The guy says "I'll do half a million if my specialist confirms the authenticity." Experts come in and verify the Walker, but the High Dollar Colt they say is an Italian copy worth about 2 bills. I have two Replica's (one Uberti, one Pietta, and both are stamped as such) and love the way they shoot, but no way would I fire a Half million 1 of 3 original.

^ Probably because they deal with much more valuable stuff than an average pawn shop does. Not the usual tv, game console, tools stuff.

^^^ And it makes the the negotiation more dramatic for the viewers.
I have often wondered if so many experts were getting called in before the show was televised.

Entertaining for sure, and one of the few things my whole family will watch and be engaged in when the object strikes their fancy.

I was wondering what Corey was firing, but hadn't looked it up meself, thanks for the info.

I like that show. Guess I missed that particular episode. It seems the only ones that carry are perhaps the old man and the door goon? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Pawn Stars

One of my favorite History Channel programs. They get some amazing items in the shop. And the guys (all four) are real characters.

Chumlee is smart. Every now and then during an episode he'll rattle off some information and then get a funny look. Oops, got caught being smart.

From what I understand the first season was completely staged. It caught on so fast that they had people line up to bring in some pretty cool stuff. They would then bring it in for the show.

Dont kid yourself. The vast majority of what that pawn shop and every other pawn shop relies on is that standard stuff you are talking about. And jewelry of course.

Watching that show is like watching CSI and thinking that is what it is like to be a cop.

But it is great entertainment.
