Recently fell in love with the 454 Casull round.

Thinking about rounding out my 454/45LC Raging Judge Magnum with some sort of lever gun in that combination.

So what do you guys have for advice and experience?

I just bought this from GunBrokers:

NIB Rossi Model 92 stainless, 20" round barrel, .454 Casull. It is on it's way from Arizona right now. This will go along with my Freedom Arms Model 83 in the same caliber.

Don't have it yet so cannot give any owners reports. I will report on THR when I do have it and have shot it.

That things looks awesome. I like the stainless, would go nice with the nickle coat on the judge.

 I really want one now.

Item # 293287979 on GunBroker, this is the outfit I got mine from. These are tough to find (this is the only listing on GB). And this is NIB. I just did a buy-it-now through my LGS last Wednesday.

Can't wait.

Man, that looks like one heck of a combo. Please be sure to get a pic of them together or at the range or something.

I'm going to get one eventually.

I too agree with your statement on Marlin.

Big +1 on the FA 454 Cassul + 45 LC!!!

Also +1 on the Marlin 336 idea: I'd buy one (when I got the money...:) ).

Marlin has a thing where they'll ask your opinions on guns if you send them your email. I figure I own 4 of theirs: maybe that will influence them ;) (LOL!).

+1 on the Marlin 454 as well. Maybe they figured its too close to their 444.

They do have a lot of lever choices in calibers that start with "4" (.450 Marlin, 45-70, 444 Marlin). But none of those have handguns to go with them.

That is the appeal to me although if I didn't have the revolver in .454, I'd still want the stainless 92 in .454. I'm just silly that way.

I've got other ideas for Marlin also, maybe I should contact them.

I had a puma/rossi and sold it due to the moth infestation in my wallet. I wish I still had that gun. Believe it or not I miss that gun more than any other I ever sold, and I've had some really nice ones.
