If you're planning on reloading (esp. if you're going to run hot loads), check out the chamber support on any 10mm. Some 1911's, such as the Colt Delta Elite, have a lot of unsupported brass. Glocks can have a big chunk of unsupported brass, too.

Between the two you are considering, if I were reloading and shooting hot stuff, I'd do the Glock with an aftermarket barrel to get chamber support. (Although I have heard that Glock has revised their barrel some, so aftermarket may not be needed.)
