Well, with the recent tragedies that just occurred and the fear of Obama's administration it seems that he will once again be salesman of the year for the firearm industry, in which this year will end with stellar sales again.
My wife despises the idea of armed guards in the schools as it shows a decline in our society and the path that our nation is heading too. Sadly enough after 38 years of teaching she states that our whole country is missing the point with the shootings that have occurred.
She feels that gun control is not the answer. As a teacher for 38 years she feels that it is the education system that has failed us thanks to our government. As educators they have been stripped of their trust in judgement in recommending a child for formal psychological evaluations because it is to costly or schools are afraid of being sued.
The parents of this troubled children that grow up to be mass killers do not see the problem their children have because of their love, ignorance, or because they deny it. As teachers they see what they do not see when those troubled children are placed in surroundings where they have to intermingle with others and how they standout. At home they are by themselves.
Needless to say my wife has been in several lockdowns in school and as much as she hates the idea of armed security guards or teachers, she always wished she had a handgun in her purse, because she has never felt so helpless in trying to defend 26 children hiding behind desks while an armed shooter walked the hallways.
