Just picked up a sig sp2022 in a trade what can you tell me about her? (9mm)

One of the best pistols for the $$$ spent that there is. A true "value" pistol.

I have an ex LEO 2340 and it has never missed a beat. Excellent triggers.

500 rounds through mine w/o a problem so far and that is with the cheapest ammo I can get my hands on. Shoots lower than I'm use to but dang accurate all the same.
Great trigger! Very smooth. DA/SA is not the issue for me that I thought it might be. Can't say enough good things about it. Crank off a few rounds and you know you've got a winner on you hands.
For me, the slide release took a bit of adjustment. Out of habit my right thumb would tend to ride the release alla 1911. Don't do that. Tuck your thumb low on the frame and you will not have an issue. I have noticed that the 17 round Mecgar mags may release the slide without notice when you slam them in with force. Not so with the factory mags. But, then again, I've only ran 500 rounds through mine so it could be me.... Just not sure.
It's a natural pointer and much more intuitive than say a Glock is for me. Last range trip I found myself consciously forcing the front sight of the G23 down on the target to get hits. That said, the 2022 is not near as concealable as the G23 but just as reliable and as good or better value than any options available today that I know of.

Ditto

I echo all said above. I have the 9mm version, great trigger, best bang for buck, shoot the hell out of it and have a great time.

Just bought one off of Gunbroker. Going to do the paperwork today. Hope to have it in a few weeks (backlog of background checks here in Maryland).

Enjoy yours.

Thanks for the info.
Just dry firing it has a better trigger than my Glock or the m&p that I sold last week. Been rainy cruddy weather so I cannot get out to the range.
I swapped the grip panels but couldn't tell much difference at all. And of course no one has mags.

:what:

That sucks...
You got that right. It's a communist state. There is normally a seven day wait period. But with all the panic buying (of which I'm guilty) there is a great backlog of applications.

Maryland is pushing for a 10 round mag limit, so in anticipation of that I'm buying this SP-2022 which comes with two 10 round mags. That way I'll have another pistol that is not 'banned'.
