Sig P250 question.

I was recently trying to get a Sig SP2022, until a Sig rep told me that they aren't making them anymore. The only ones they have are two-tone ! Sig has yet to release the P250 compact in .357 sig. When they do I plan on getting one. I only wonder if the P250 is built as beefed up as the SP2022 was. Can anyone out there can tell the difference ? Also, will the P250 only be double-action only???

You can still get the 2022. I just bought another one. There seems to be differing opinions as to the 2022's demise at Sig. Some say its being phased out, some say not. Buy one off of Gunbroker, or from Buds gun shop.

Yes, the P250 is double action only as of now, is about $100 (or more) more than the sigpro, and you only get one magazine. There are rumors that other trigger configurations will be available. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

this is totally false. They still make the Sig Pro 2022 and will still be making it because it's approved in Cali. Now there is rumor that the P250 will eventually replace it, but only if the P250 will be approved by Cali. I hopw that this settles any questions you have concerning this matter and if you need to find out any other information you should contact Sig Sauer directly by either email on there website www.sigsauer.com or mail them a letter

You seem like an insider, can you confirm the sale of French Police 2022's that seem to be popping up from the distributers?

Comes in a black box(not blue), has 3 mags instead of 2, and has the Springfield XD style loaded chamber indicator, along with a lanyard loop. I know these 2 features were exclusive to the French version of the 2022 only. The American version lacked the lanyard and XD style LCI.

I can confirm that the newer American version SP2022s have the LCI and the lanyard loop. I bought one last month in the package you describe, and it has English inscriptions on the frame, not the French inscriptoins.
