correct or incorrect, I have seen so many anti arguments just plain made up that I won't waste the time to look up the #'s anymore. I do my best to ignore anyone on either side of they aisle that are so sensationalist that they don't even try to represent realism anymore. Sorry... mentioning that guy (along with several others) really gets my BP up.

ETA: BTW how come the only color on the 4473 is white. I am Caucasian dagnabbit. Ya know or people could just stop caring what race I associate myself with (I could claim a few) that would be even better.

not sure what race has to do with gun ownership? Have we compared %gun ownership to %violent crimes by race using a gun? I'm sure that would cause some sort of outrage across the board. Michael more peaked in both health and talent like 25 years ago. He is hard to pay attention to now.

I'm doing what I can to address that imbalance.

If somebody knows of a decent paying network/systems administrator job in the NE Ohio area, I promise to do even more...

White folks love the gun. That was the main advantage in conquering all of the North American continent by force of arms. The uniqueness of the American connection with the gun goes for four centuries since the advent of gun powder and its derivatives. So the legacy lives on .

We are lucky we have the 2nd Amendment. If not, we d be like the subjects of the British 's Isle of Man, by royal monarchies and fascist ruled countries all over the globe. Every trueblooded American who studies the US Constitution must imprint these sacred words into their hearts and minds, for by doing so we remain a free people and by the People. No amount of principalities in heaven and earth can dictate your will to live free .

i haven't seen any statistics but if you qualified it by saying "legal guns" then it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

the question is, does michael realize why?

it's not because white people are scared.
it's not because black/hispanics don't want guns.
it's because gun control laws are racist.
Ok. I do not know if those statistics are true or not, but do not go shopping for ammo where white folks go. There will be empty space on the shelves.

Sorry, please replace 'white folks' with 'European-Americans.' Sorry.

Yes, please. As one of those "white folks" I'm terribly offended by that characterization.
When Michael Moore's bodyguard got busted with an illegally possessed handgun, any tine shred of credibility he had regarding the gun control issue went right out the window.

Many gun control laws prevent poorer people from buying guns.

Many minorities in the US are poor due to having been discriminated against for the majority of American history.

Gun control laws are strictest in cities and urban areas.

Many minorities live in cities and urban areas for historical reasons related to discrimination.

Many gun control laws were written to prevent the "wrong kind of people" from getting guns.

Minorities were considered the "wrong kind of people" for centuries.

I live in a pretty diverse urban area and I can say a lot of people regardless of race keep a gun in their nightstand or safe. Most of these guns have probably been around much longer than any online poles or stats were collected. Everybody has their dad's old .38 stashed somewhere to protect their family.

Well, if Michael Moore believes that the racial imbalance of firearm owners is a problem, maybe he should encourage racial minorities to exercise their 2A rights, and arm themselves. I certainly do.

Maybe 90% of white people don't have felonies, and can legally have guns.

"90% of guns are owned by white people/90% of gun owners are white" does not equal "90% of white people owning guns".
