This place got 200 of them in on Friday. One of the employees alerted the members on another forum and many of us got one. I got home from vacation today and was too late to pick it up so I will have it tomorrow.

It looks like they got more in today. They have 127 in stock now at $429. Enter this catalog # in the box on the left. 180021

Thank you so much for posting this! I have been searching for one of these rarities for the longest time. Up until now the cheapest I could find one was for $525 plus 35 shipping on Gunbroker.

I just got off the phone with Kittery Trading Post, and have a 9mm Shield ordered for $464.99 total including shipping. They still have plenty more in stock; they told me they have 70-80 left. Thanks again Cokeman for the heads up!! :D

Thanks for that info.

I wanted one until I recently tried one. Just not for me. I think my hands are too big to get a good grip on it.

I can shoot good enough for closer range SD but was hoping to do better. The PPS seems a better fit for me but they are a couple hundred more. Still waiting to see what kind of CCW we get here in Illinois.

I just got home with mine. Now comes the hard part, finding 9mm ammo. I've never had a 9mm gun so I have none stockpiled. If you guys see any deals post them here.

Took me an hour and a half to get thru but got two headed my way..now when the wife takes mine i gotta back up. Internet has said they have 65 since this morning but i would bet not that many left. Thanks for the info.

Also they only have them in 9..

Mine was 3/26/13. It's cool to get a gun that's only a week old.

I was there yesterday and they had a bunch of them. I already have one, else I would have jumped on it.

That's a decent price, I picked up mine from a local shop a week ago for $449, but it was the only place in town that had them at all. As for the Shield in .40, I was somewhat apprehensive about getting such a small handgun in caliber widely viewed as "snappy", even in full sized pistols. I have to say, the Shield handles .40 far better than any other small handgun I've fired, it's nothing short of amazing. Additionally, lots of folks have had success using their .40 shields with 9mm barrels and mags, so for the price of a .40 shield + ~$100 for a barrel and mag you could potentially practice with cheaper 9mm and carry .40.

I got one from them. Fast shipping, nice on the phone. Nothing to complain about.

Put 200 rounds through it this morning. It shoots like a much bigger gun. I like it a LOT.

Can you compare how it shoots to, lets say, a Glock 19? I know they are very popular firearms but I have never shot one.

I had already lined up a FFL to do the transfer for this place as I'd been looking for one since October.
Just happened to stop at my LGS and what do you know?
They had one in stock that a customer was looking at.
I mulled around for about 20 minutes while he held the gun asking about a million questions. He finally handed it over to the salesman and said he was going to think about it and look around a little more.
I asked the salesman to let me look at it and told him I'd take it in the same breath. :neener:

They hit it out of the park with the Shield, a subcompact that actually fits my hand. You don't even realize it's a subcompact when you shoot it. If you can picture a G19 with single stack and thinner slide, triggers are very comparable.
I carry mine with the extended mag, the extra grip is not an issue to CCW.
