Over the past week, or so, my LGS has had a couple of RO's passing through the shop. While I was out of town, both were sold. I figured I would need to order a new one, since they're a bit tough to get.

On Wednesday, a fellow comes into the shop with a blue Springfield case containing a literal "new in the box" Range Officer. He bought it from this LGS, and never fired it. Brought it in as trade fodder. My guy ask me if I'd be interested, and I immediately said yes. After the shop checked it out and confirmed there were no firing marks on it, I got a phone call late yesterday. I picked it up today. I didn't have time to go to the range today, but tomorrow's a different day.

To me the RO looks and feels the way a 1911 should. Mine has been solid and shoots far better than I can.

Good luck and have fun!
