I wanted to do a good deed for a friend of mine who helped me out with something recently. My buddy is just new to firearms and I've been helping him along with matters.
Anyway, I took him to a new sporting store in my area today (California) thinking I'd get him a HD shotgun or a pistol. I was shocked to see the variety and pricing of ARs. My buddy eventually opted for the S&W Sport AR15 at the price of $650! Brand spanking new. He asked me if the price was too high. I told him that I haven't seen such AR prices in a very long time. What's more is that he bought a load of PMC 5.56 (nice stuff made in S. Korea) at $9 for a box of 20.
The point is that I've been telling people that the firearms craze would slow down and that pricing would return to some normalcy. Now here's a bolder prediction: in the next two years you're going to see prices fall. They manufacturers will have a tougher time moving their products. They'll start pricing to move product........
