Hmm, I might have to shoot my takedown. I have the blue one but havent tried it yet. Nice shootin.
Yup, and it might just surprise you. If you don't get near the same results I did, try different types of ammo. Mine's the blue one as well though the guy at Cabela's said it's actually stainless with a black finish. I need to call Ruger and find out for sure.
I first shot mine with some cheap Federal "bulk pack" stuff from Wally World and it wasn't consistent. Then I used some of my stash of "target" ammo that I acquired in a fit of "I remember the last time this shortage happened under Clinton". Didn't get caught short this time and managed to pick up a whole bunch of it when you could get a 500 round brick for less than 20 bucks.
Now I've got local guys (they must be liberals?) saying I should share the wealth with them and give them some. They don't want to buy it, just shoot it -
All kidding aside, I don't know if Wolf "Match Target" ammo is always this consistent or whether I lucked out and the two 10K case lots I bought (same lot #) are an exception.
I have heard that Lapua is (or was) making the match ammo for Wolf and also that RWS makes it. I just did a little more research and find that the Wolf .22 ammo is made by the SK cartridge company in Germany and that SK is now owned by Lapua so I guess Lapua is correct in a sense.
