Thanks for the heads up. I've been waiting for them to get them on the webstore.

Just ordered two of the 6 round 45 acp mags.

Thanks for the heads up! Ordered 2 6 rnd mags for my pair of .45 XDs's.

I did not receive an email of the order confirmation.

Since SA already HAS my email from the recall situation one would think they would have sent notice of this sale to existing owners....but nope.

I didn't get one either and it's been bugging me all afternoon. I also checked my cc account and their hasn't been a charge or authorization on it.

Starting to wonder

I'm sure they will get it worked out, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just my order.
I'm sure you're right. It's good to know others had the same issue. I thought I screwed up and almost ordered again. No harm in having lots of mags, but let's face it, they aren't cheap.

I found the "account" I had created during the order process does not seem to exist- had to create a new one.

After re-creating an account- I logged back in to check on my order- interesting in that SA shows both a transaction ID and an authorization code from my credit card company.

However the credit card company does NOT show either one....hmmm.

I did notice when I ordered late yesterday their site was crawling very slowly...

My order shows "processed" which I guess means they took the money. :) Hasn't progressed since I ordered Sat mid-day.

I just received an Invoice & Tracking Number email ... FedEx is supposed to deliver it tomorrow.

FYI.

EDIT:

Correction: Delivery date is next Tuesday ... I saw "Tuesday" and was not expecting it to take FedEx over a week to get it from the Chicago area to the DC area.

Yep, I got an email too. FedEx says mine won't show up until next Monday. Glad they're on the way. Excited to try them out.

Weird, my FedEx tracking page now says the US Postal Service will be delivering my mags...... FedEx delivers to my office like every day. I don't know why the PO is now involved. The crappy part is they easily take three times as long to deliver anything in my middle of nowhere town. Oh well...... patience.

I don't have an XDs. Might be time to look...

You know Skribs, if these mags and the correct grip is what pushes you over to the buy side of things, I think you'd be pleased. If you haven't shot one, they are very manageable and surprisingly soft shooting given their size. They are also unreasonably accurate given the price point and fact that they are a defensive gun and not a target gun.

Carrying one is a breeze too. I carry mine in a hybrid holster from Hidden Hybrid Holsters, and it's great. As an example, last Saturday the weather in my neck of the woods was beautiful. There is an ongoing forest health issue where I live that is killing thousands upon thousands of trees. As a result, our recreation trails are covered in large dead pine every spring. The problem is especially bad in our designated Wilderness area. As a form of exercise and recreation, I hike in with hand saws and cut these trees off the trails and clear trails. It's really hard work limbing and sawing up trees with a 24" hand saw, but I enjoy it. I also clear the broken branches, which are numerous, and heave and roll the logs off the trail with the use of a pair of gloves. I do this alone, so it is one hell of a full body workout.

Saturday I cleared 7 trees off the trail, which was about 6 hours worth of work due to their size. I wore my XDs all day in the 4 o'clock position, and it didn't bother me at all. Part of that is the holster, but the other part is the weight and dimensions of the gun. This included 8 miles of hiking in and out mind you.

The XDs is a fantastic carry gun in the right holster.

FedEx often works in conjunction with USPS for ground packages, I have had several packages delivered in this manner where USPS makes the final delivery. My mid mags are being delivered this way as well, I should hopefully have them today or tomorrow. It doesn't bother me considering shipping was free.

Weird, my FedEx tracking page now says the US Postal Service will be delivering my mags...... .

Finally got my shipping notice - and yes it is coming Fedex SmartPost. With the blinding speed of a week to deliver 600 miles away.:)

I received my magazine. It's the perfect size, as I found the grip with the 5 round magazine a little on the small size and the gun printed too much with the 7 round magazine. It made a great gun better.

Just loaded one up inserted it and tried it on. That's just about perfect IMO. I'm happy.

I received mine today and took them to the range. I'm undecided on if I want to compromise concealabity for the extra round. Also having a problem with my XDs where the mag catch starts sticking as the gun warms up. It has already gone back to SA once before for this same issue. There's always something.....

Received mine today, also ... it will remain bagged for awhile.

Boy, FedEx really doesn't have a clue regarding ETAs. <chuckle>

EDIT:

The included "small-backstrap" sleeve (the one that I need) is, apparently for a 9mm mag ... the 2 spacers in the back make the opening impossibly small for the .45 mag. <sigh>

So I have emailed SA and will letcha know how this plays out ... good thing that I am not a member of the Instant Gratification Society. ;)

I ordered the 8rd mag and a shot glass after reading the original post and the package was on my doorstep about 36 hours later. I took the magazine out to the range and it functions 100%. Nice deal for a factory mag.
