Just a heads up for anybody interested, Springfield is running a weekend promotion where the XDs mid-mags (8rd 9mm, 6rd .45) are on sale for $29.95 with free shipping. Just go to the web store.
Nope, not yet.Did either of you receive an email confirmation for your order?
I'm sure they will get it worked out, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just my order.I didn't get one either and it's been bugging me all afternoon. I also checked my cc account and their hasn't been a charge or authorization on it.
Starting to wonder
I'm sure you're right. It's good to know others had the same issue. I thought I screwed up and almost ordered again. No harm in having lots of mags, but let's face it, they aren't cheap.I'm sure they will get it worked out, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just my order.

I don't have an XDs. Might be time to look...
FedEx often works in conjunction with USPS for ground packages, I have had several packages delivered in this manner where USPS makes the final delivery. My mid mags are being delivered this way as well, I should hopefully have them today or tomorrow. It doesn't bother me considering shipping was free.Weird, my FedEx tracking page now says the US Postal Service will be delivering my mags...... FedEx delivers to my office like every day. I don't know why the PO is now involved. The crappy part is they easily take three times as long to deliver anything in my middle of nowhere town. Oh well...... patience.
You know Skribs, if these mags and the correct grip is what pushes you over to the buy side of things, I think you'd be pleased. If you haven't shot one, they are very manageable and surprisingly soft shooting given their size. They are also unreasonably accurate given the price point and fact that they are a defensive gun and not a target gun.
Carrying one is a breeze too. I carry mine in a hybrid holster from Hidden Hybrid Holsters, and it's great. As an example, last Saturday the weather in my neck of the woods was beautiful. There is an ongoing forest health issue where I live that is killing thousands upon thousands of trees. As a result, our recreation trails are covered in large dead pine every spring. The problem is especially bad in our designated Wilderness area. As a form of exercise and recreation, I hike in with hand saws and cut these trees off the trails and clear trails. It's really hard work limbing and sawing up trees with a 24" hand saw, but I enjoy it. I also clear the broken branches, which are numerous, and heave and roll the logs off the trail with the use of a pair of gloves. I do this alone, so it is one hell of a full body workout.
Saturday I cleared 7 trees off the trail, which was about 6 hours worth of work due to their size. I wore my XDs all day in the 4 o'clock position, and it didn't bother me at all. Part of that is the holster, but the other part is the weight and dimensions of the gun. This included 8 miles of hiking in and out mind you.
The XDs is a fantastic carry gun in the right holster.

Ah crap man. Sorry for your troubles.Received mine today, also ... it will remain bagged for awhile.
Boy, FedEx really doesn't have a clue regarding ETAs. <chuckle>
EDIT:
The included "small-backstrap" sleeve (the one that I need) is, apparently for a 9mm mag ... the 2 spacers in the back make the opening impossibly small for the .45 mag. <sigh>
So I have emailed SA and will letcha know how this plays out ... good thing that I am not a member of the Instant Gratification Society.
