Bullets are on the way. I also sent 25 125gr coated cones, and 25 125gr coated SWC for you to try.
As the SWCs need to be seated deeper (and have a larger bearing surface) I usually use about .2 less powder when using powders like Bullseye or HP38.

Hope they work well for you.
Missouri Bullet Company are great people to do business with.

I could use the .270 brass. I had to walk to the LGS today looking for some brass, the sad thing about it was it was uphill both ways and they didn't even have what I was looking for. :D

Poper, we could always use a good laugh and diversion.

As long as we don't offend Walkalong, go for it!

Let the sob stories roll! :D

Crowcifier, I am on the road and using my phone. I will update the thread later tonight when I have access to my laptop.

Too bad I'm not new to reloading, my .270 brass is starting to show symptoms of case head separation, poor neck tension, and is scratched like crazy from the feed lips on my 700 after a dozen or so trips through. At least my chamber is such that I don't hardly ever have to trim necks.

I remember that story but my parents always added they had to walk barefooted also lol

WestKentucky, so was that a sob story? ;):D
It would have been if I mentioned that my big bench got moved to storage, and I'm stuck on my little AT-AT walker looking rig that I built, then totally destroyed Friday night trying to form .256 winmag from 357 mag brass as part of my old mans father's day gift. (Dies, press, scale, a hundred 357 cases reformed...I got through 4 before I ripped my JR2 completely off of the pedestal/podium/AT-AT. It would full length size any rifle I have, but died a quick death reforming from 38 to 25 caliber, even with a 30 cal step in the middle.

Ok, so I have TWO sob stories so far....

Somehow, neither one sounds truly like a newbie, though.... :scrutiny:

Seriously, though do we really have that few newbies running a .270 Winchester these days? :what:

C'mon, you guys! Let's hear some really good ones! Like maybe something along the likes of:
"My dearly beloved said if I spent any more money on reloading she would leave me for my best hunting buddy.'
'Here I sit, 130 grain .277 bullets up the wazoo, LR primers as far as the eye can see, IMR 4350 pouring from every crevice of my powder magazine, a pre-64 Winchester heirloom from my grandad, but alas: no brass anywhere to load!' :uhoh:
And no MONEY, either! What's a guy to do???

'Please, Poper!!! I beg you!! Rescue me!' :neener:
'With a brand new unopened bag of brass I can wave it under the little wicked wench's nose (I married her 34 years ago) and tell her: 'See?!! I bought these! Go ahead and run off with my little brother and just see what that gets you!'":scrutiny:

Or something like that....

Did I mention I would pay the postage???

notaglockfanboy: PM me your particulars.

I'm a little disappointed there were only 2 responses. One of which admitted he was not a newbie!

Anyway, notaglockfanboy gets the bag of new, never opened .270 Winchester brass!
