What would you pay for a Beretta 92?

What condition?? Original box and papers?? Ten round magazines or original 15 round mags??

Prices depend on the State in which you live, too.

Around here, lightly used with two 15 round magazines they sell around the $500 range. However, just today I saw one on ArmsList today, this one advertised as New, for $600. Generally though about $500 with two magazines. What would I pay? If I wanted one I would likely go $500 for a real clean lightly used one.

I see them new for $548, but if you watch you can get a really nice LEO turn-in for much less, and they are very nice guns.

All in the title, what do you think would be a fair price for a 92fs?
New, I'd say around $500 seems good. You sometimes see them for less online, but then you figure in the shipping and transfer fees.

Mine was used/police trade in, got it for $300. I prefer my guns used; I don't shoot a whole lot, but have a decent collection of handguns. People talk of warranties, but it's been my experience that if you don't get a lemon, most "quality" guns rarely need them. I had to replace an extractor on my CZ 75 once, no other problems with any of them.

Not a good fit for me (small hands), but if I were looking for one I would go with around $500 as well.

I found this one owner 1991 version 92FS, like new with the box and 3 mags late last year and paid upper $400s.

These guns are a little on the big and heavy side for a 9mm, but are very smooth shooters. I carried an M9 while in the USAF so I've always wanted to own an example of the design.

The gun pictured below has all metal parts (unlike the current production guns), the two dot "snowman" sights, and lacks the "you'll put your eye out" warnings on the side.

$600ish here as well. The 92A1's go for about $100 more, but then you do get an extra mag and they are all 17 rounders.

I bought my NIB Italian-made 92FS back in 2007 for $499 out-the-door (no sales tax in Oregon!) with 2 15-round magazines included. That exact same gun now 8 years later probably averages more like $599 around here. Occasionally you might see them on sale for $549. If I saw any brand new Beretta 92-series gun for under $450, I'd jump on it. But a Beretta 92FS is my all time favorite firearm, so I am a bit biased.

On the other end of the spectrum, I paid $1,200 for my Wilson Combat Beretta 92G Brigadier Tactical last November, and feel that it's worth every penny.

I typically see them on the local (state wide, on-line) used market at around $550-600, which I think is high, but those are the prices I'm seeing. On occasion one may pop up at $500 (and disappear pretty quick), but I don't think I've ever seen one lower than $500.

We've got guys tailing about new prices, me, and other guys talking about used prices. I'm not sure I know what the OP is asking.

Got a new toy, Beretta 92s. Have been wanting one of these for a while.
These are Police trade ins from Italy. Imported into the US and sold by a few retailers.

I ordered one from Classic Fire Arms. Cost was $299 plus I added the option of hand select best one from 10, For $20

Other than the obvious holster wear, the gun is in very good mechanical condition.
I had my Gun Smith take a look. He said every thing looked 100%

So far I have 600 error free rounds down the pipe.

Good option for a range gun.

Who do you think you're kidding, that's an old picture

Yes indeed. I no longer have 9. I do have some, but decided to diversify my gun collection again instead of having almost all 1 model/brand. I sold things off to go almost all Beretta. Then after 2-3 years of that, I wanted some other stuff again. So, I sold some.

I also no longer care for the railed models. I can feel that they balance slightly differently. I won't give you the exact #, but I have owned over 20 Beretta 92 variants over the years. And, it still is my all time favorite platform.

Beretta gave me some free swag for that photo on all the gun forums, though :) - a few years ago :)

$100 tops. Then go trade it for a good Colt Commander or Defender. . I don't like way the gun feels in my hand and think their ugly on top of that.
