Welcome to the new folks!

Please keep in mind that those pledges to keep the level of discussion on the high road is important here as we're sure none of you want to aid the Antis in their efforts to paint gun owners as coarse, vulgar, immature, irresponsible knuckledraggers.

Excellent group! Immigrated from the "left coast" to the Texas Republic a year ago. Have been reloading (both handgun & rifle) near on 35 years and now taking advantage of the spinoff's from "salesman-in-chief". Appreciate the sound advice available here and want to be a responsible contributor.

Hey There.

Hello to all. I'm just a kid from Brooklyn living in central Florida. I'm relatively a novice when it comes to weapon knowledge. I come from a position of self defense, target and the 2nd Amendment. Loving the gun laws in this state.

I'm Ruggz1515, and I have always been interested in guns, I just never really have had anywhere to ask questions and get feedback by people who have experience with certain types of firearms. THR seemed like one of the best places to come to to talk about firearms! Anyway, I have a Mosin Nagant 91/30 and that is currently my only firearm, although the M1 Garand is next on the list, and then the Enfield No.4 MK.1! I wanted to get the allies main rifles of WWII! I am also very Interested in the M14 and M16 and Vietnam and I am sure I will eventually post a thread regarding their use! Thanks!

My very first posting...

Hello Everyone-
Living here in Maryland it can be somewhat difficult to pursue
owning and collecting weapons. I am presently most interested in
weapons of the former Soviet Union (and the country's that it once
controlled as well...)
I have a great love for the 7.62 X 25 round. I believe it to be one of
the most under rated rounds available. I find it completely amazing
that no new weapons are chambered for this "flat shooting" and highly
effective round.
In both handgun and sub gun it is a super fast, smooth feeding and
great penetrating combination. While the old surplus ammo is gone,
there is now plenty of good quality new at a fair price....

Hey guys and gals, I just discovered the forum....looking forward to some good chat.

I'm 39 years old, live in Colorado and my two main hobbies are ATV'ing and shooting.:D

I currently have in the arsenal:

Walther PPX 40 cal
Walther PPX 9mm
Taurus Millenium G2 9mm
Ruger SR9-C
Ruger SR40-C
Ruger Mini-14 580 series
SKS
Remington 700 SPS tactical .308
Ruger 10/22
Marlin bolt action 22 mag

I reload 9mm, 40 S&W, .223 and .308.

Already posted some here, mostly reading and learning.... always learning.
Collect .22 cal long guns, primarily lever action, wood and blue.
You won't see me on any political, moral, religious threads....
MUST have a sense of humor to survive!

4 Marlin 39s

Hey All, Gadgetman here in Kansas. I was searching for some info on a Marlin 39A Original Golden and found this forum. I have a few other guns, but the 39A is my main reason for being here. Thanks for the opportunity to meet & chat with other gun people.

New kid in town

I'm Scott...live in a southern state (although I'm originally from Arizona).
I'm an RN by trade. Formerly in broadcasting. I hike, watch old movies, drink IPA beer, and dig handguns. I've owned a lot of them. Wife says I buy and sell too much, but it's what I enjoy. Currently own a Kahr CM9 (for CCW), a Ruger 9e, a Ruger 22/45 .22 semi auto, and a Charter Arms 'On Duty' .44 special (also for CCW). I've lurked THR for a while and tend to get really good info from other members here. :)

I just noticed this thread.
I've been shooting & reloading for forty years, and still learning and enjoying every minute.
It's not my first forum, but I liked the name, "The High Road". I must see if that fits.
A big HELLO to all.

Hello,

Good day to all.... Im a new member here, ive just bought a m6000 gal 1911. Is it a good gun... Please tell some other "reviews" about it... Thanks

G,day
I am a charcoal burner - traditional rifle. I started about 25 years back and stopped 8 years ago and now I am back.I thought I was weaned off, but all it took was a whiff of black powder smoke and now I am back.

I have shot in other disciplines and find the black powder mob are just different. Being different myself, I fit in with them.

Nice to be here.

New Member Question

Just signed up. I'm just starting out with buying gun and ammo for home & business protection. Basic 12 ga Shotgun 9mmGlock, Henry 22lr Rifle, S&W357 Mag including Ammo for all.

Hoping someone could tell me with advice as to what is the TAX Code or rule or provision for writing off Ammo? Anyone know?

Howdy, I've visited this sight off and on for years but just signed on because it looks like a neat place to hang out once in a while.

My wife and I are involved in Cowboy Action Shooting and I also do some reenacting. I enjoy all types of firearms and hunting but mostly shoot black powder cartridge these days.

I am an excavating contractor and make old west leather goods and knives as my second job/hobby.

Howdy,
I just refreshed my login on the site here, last time I was here there was some legal stuff going on. Getting back into being current with firearms a bit.I do mostly shoot left handed so holsters and such are always an interesting search to find stuff locally and in stock.
Anyway, I'll be wandering around the site a bit.
