Divide the ATF state numbers by the 2012 population numbers gives some interesting results. I had to chuckle when I saw DC has one machinegun per every 145 residents. On the other hand, Idaho being a nice quiet state has one silencer per every 136 people.
My better half had a fit for the BRO-PG3 (skull pattern with spiral fluted barrel) so I gave her one for our anniversary last year. It’s a little gaudy but it shoots great and the workmanship is top notch. I have not kept count, but I guess it probably had somewhere over a 1,000 rounds through...
I got one back this past Tuesday. The application went pending on October 4th and the stamped form was dated April 10th for a total of 188 days to process.
So far only small technical errors with relatively easy fixes with a minimal delay.
Oddly, that makes perfect sense to me. Law abiding citizens go though the system, file the proper paperwork and are likely always approved. Criminals are by definition unconcerned with the laws and would not...
Typical nonsensical legislation. My AR50 with pistol grip, detachable stock, and threaded barrel is fine because it is bolt action, but my evil 10-22 must be banned because it can accept detachable magazines and has a threaded barrel. I have written all my elected officials both federal and...
I had a chance to see a 22 gatling gun in action. It was made from twin 10-22's. Looked like a lot of fun. Not sure of the rate of fire, but it certainly sounded full auto and emptied the magazines in nothing flat.
A 22 can will probably be my second purchase once I find someone local who does reputable barrel threading. I went with the 7.62 as my first can simply because I already have several AR hosts to choose from in both 5.56 and 7.62, and plan to add a 300 blk sometime in the near future.
I finally decided I have had enough of everyone else having all the fun and took the plunge to set up a trust. I’ll be purchasing my first item, an AAC 762-SDN-6, Monday and then the long countdown to receiving the stamped form 4 and actually having the can in hand begins.
Another happy AR50 owner here. The AR50 is very heavy but that weight in conjunction with the massive muzzle brake equates to relatively minor recoil and pleasant days at the range.
The simple answer is air friction is relevant to horizontal distance traveled. I did not take time to work the math, but as our planetary gravity accelerates objects equally at 32 feet per second2, the air friction on the vertical component is insignificant and can be ignored unless the bullet...
After shooting several mouse guns, I went ahead and bought a TCP for pocket carry. Its been 100% reliable over the 600 or so rounds I have fired. As mentioned above, I found the trigger action better than the LCR. The sights are small but work well in daylight. I added a crimson trace for...
