Gotcha, thx just a different rollmark on the browning versus the fn.

and actually, if you check cdnn, in addition to the fn hipowers, they also have browning highpowers for more money, I believe they do make the gun, anyway, these are older brownings not clones and they have the blue like old colts, not the matte black kind of finish of the fn's and newer guns.

ouch on the transfer fee, only 20 dollars here. I thought the originals were made by browning, no? my bad, not to up on hi powers, just having seen em go for 600 or so and up on gunbroker and other places, I thought for 480 they may be worth trying out

I am aware of cdnn, but I am speaking about Genuine Browning hp's, but I guess that is a good price then.

Just curious what are reasonable prices for browning high powers, not sure of the model, but they are both 9mm in the 470-490 range. are these good prices?

Narrowed it down to 3 colts today, my question is, if I just bought a NRM stainless, i would want to put on a beavertail and hammer, smith says cost me about 140 for that, then should do a trigger job cause of the knew hammer, another 70 add in the cost of the pistol and tax I will be around...

You may look at Dan Wesson. Check the 1911forum.com. They have outstanding customer service, have a 10 mm available and in my opinion are making some great guns right now. I couldn't say enough good about mine. Have a look, ou won't be dissapointed.
