I am wanting to build a hunting upper for my AR. 223 is not legal for deer here.
So I am looking at the 6mm and 6.5mm cartridges. The 6.8 just doesnt appeal to me.
I am debating on the 6.5 Grendel, 6mmAR, 6mm HAGAR, 240 Tomahawk, and the 6PDK.
I want to be able to shoot varmints at...
No photos of the proofs, but has Nitro Proved on the barrels
On the barrel lug that attaches to the action there are some oak leave stamps, 11 59 20/70/2 3/4"
On the barrels
J.P. Sauer & Sohn
Made in W. Germany
Hard to read, but it looks like "Frezial Fauhstahl" 20/70/2 3/4"
Any help with some knowledge about this JP Sauer 20 ga SxS I have. Think it is a Model 60? Made in western Germany. Not sure what it is worth, the auction sites havent been much help.
Thanks
What about the MULTIPLE Gun Digest books? Whether it be a Gun Digest titled book or Gun Digest published book? If you get one year of Gun Digest, is it worthwhile to keep getting each successive year?
What would be the TOP FIVE books you would recommend to use as a resource for buying/selling guns, learning about the older guns, etc.
Basically, I am starting to collect guns and want to know what to look for avoid, etc.

So I have an email in to WOA about ordering an upper, but its the weekend and I am anxious! haha
The only service rifle upper I see is the A2 fixed site set up, has anyone got a WOA service rifle flat top?
The reason is I also want to use the gun for both service rifle and hunting and...
where do you find the "M93" model? I guess that is cabelas only?
I also spoke to the guy at Dick's and he said he had a green stock with fluted barrel 17 model "bxp"??? anyone know of that one, cant find anything close to that on Savage webpage
So I know the reloading manuals say to cut case to 1.75 and not let them get longer than 1.760.
My LC brass that I once-fired myself are already over 1.760, mostly in the 1.762-8 range.
Some reloading reading I have done indicates you do not want to keep cutting to the 1.75 length, instead...
Loaded a new batch today. Going to shoot the screw ups just to compare, at least I will get some data from it.
Using R-15 and Hornady 75 gr BTHO match with LC 09 once-fired brass.
