I think I'll take an AR instead for defense against man-sized targets, as an AR will be/have: 1. quicker to reload and higher ammo capacity (obviously) 2. a wider variety of sighting options 3. relatively easy to attach a light 4. an adjustable stock 5. training ammo priced about 1/2...

Got my semi-auto shotgun from them... Earlier this year in Illinois. Winchester Super-X2 Sporting, on closeout for $650. Maybe not the super best price, but they did have a few to choose from. Shotgun ammo seems a bit overpriced, compared to other local stores.

re: fido, the movie Practicing some "thread resurrection" here... Just saw this on cable last night, entertaining, and probably the most "gun positive" flick I've seen in years.

Lots of opinions on the M2000 on shotgunworld.com One of my shooting buddies just bought one. Recoil (to him) was a bit harsh, until he installed a limbsaver pad on it. Now he shoot fairly comfortably. I've seen him run around 1000 rounds through it, with no problems.

Why a bayonet on a handgun? I say, why NOT a bayonet on a handgun.
