You won't find the old M70s in LH. They were sometimes converted, but not made. I'm LH and have a post-64 M70 target and although not the classic, is a tackdriver, and because it was set up as a silhouette rifle, right or left doesn't make a difference. What Winchester/FNH puts out now is...

Look around at the auction sites, and the CMP web site to see if anything is within your budget. The state association contact may bring some rewards, also there are many more forums with sale sections. Clubs often have sales, check into your local clubs for upcoming events. Juniors in clubs...

insurance. You did insure it when you sent it...right? It was probably damaged in transit. It's a pain to do, but I've had 2 claims and eventually they worked out.
