    Favorite Online Firearm Source

I make frequent use of www.JGsales.com, mainly because they're only a few hours away :) For price/availability checks, and the occasional auction, I appreciate www.Gunbroker.com. For ammo pricing, www.gun-deals.com is invaluable.

    115 vs 124 grain 9mm jhps

I prefer 124 for the reason 9mmepiphany stated. 115gr is on the light edge of 9mm bullets, 147gr is on the heavy edge, 124 is right in the middle and is what most 9mm pistols are built around. I have lots of 9mm ammo of various loads, but I would want to carry the 124gr(+P JHP) or the 147gr(+P...

Which Gun Feels Like It Was Made For Your Hands ?

    CZ-75, particularly the P-01. Plain-jane 1911.

Which semi's close after inserting fresh magazine?

My Glock 19 does it. I wish it didn't - the pistol has less than a thousand rounds through it. As a note, I tend not to use the slide release at all - since my P64 does not have an external release for the slide catch, I think it's better to release the slide by hand every time, to build habit...

    Anti gun individuals, companies, etc.

Mel Brooks' inclusion on that list greatly saddens me. As for many(probably most) of the other film-industry members on the list - it is at least mildly hypocritical to build a career on action/secret-agent fiction movies while passively or actively supporting efforts to curtail responsible...

    Glock M20 10mm

The G20 is quite a nice pistol, and very manageable for a powerful auto. The only, ONLY thing I dislike is its thick grip. I have average-sized hands and while I can shoot the G20 well enough, I don't find it as natural or comfortable as my G19C. The pistol I have fired belongs to a friend...

If you could only have 1 9mm

Voted CZ. Difficult choice between that and the G19, but the CZ's ergonomics won the day. Depending on scenario(as always), the Glock may have been a better choice, but I think the CZ is a better gun for my present situation.

Anybody seen EAA's recent ad in The Blue Press?

Effective? Not in the least. What it makes me want is, well, not a pistol.

Anyone only have a semi-auto for home defense?

I only have my Glock, but that's not by choice :)

    Star Arms "MegaStar"

If you're still looking, there's one on gunbroker right now with a starting bid of $600 and "no reserve". It's 10mm in a bright finish and looks alright. Plus, it's in my state :)

.380 autos ? colt 1908 or ppk sizeish anyone know anygood ones

Can't go wrong with a Makarov. I vote for the PM, but as above, I'd go with 9x18Mak unless you have other pistols in .380 and want ammunition interchangeability. The Makarov round is comparable in cost and slightly more powerful, as I understand.

    Sounds simlilar to gun shots

Machina, sounds about right :D When I worked on truck tires, I had a few experiences: Some time during my first month, a customer brought a loose tire and wheel to be mounted. Everything looked fine, but at about 60psi(10-ply 9.50R16.5) the sidewall let go. The wheel was firmly clamped down...

    Your Favorite Gun Noises

The last time I went shooting, a friend brought his Marlin .30-30 levergun. Working the action produces a very satisfying sound, and firing the rifle gives a good serious report. I enjoyed my first experience with a lever-action rifle :)
