Fella's;

Although "Zastava" may mean flag in Serb, or Croat, or whatever language area the factory is in, I strongly suspicion that's not the real meaning of the term in this ad.

Zastava is an old line maker of firearms & has been doing it since before WWII. When exactly it started business, I don't know. The company is located in the Balkans, ie, the former Yugoslavia. No, I don't have the grid #'s, but you get the idea.

Gentlemen:

One may wonder why in the world of advertizing it's common to use, slim, young women to sell products.

The subliminal message is to both men and women.

To Women: Use this product, and you will be envisioned by others as the model is, IE: I am slim, young, attractive.

To Men: Use this product, and you will be seen as desirable by women who look like the model, IE: Beautiful women will see me as a "hunk".

Doesn't matter if it's guns, cars, whatever, the formula is always the same.

Mrs. Armoredman said: No I see beautiful men as fine,fine and more fine.

There's a guy where I work, he says the same thing!:D

He gets away w/ murder too. One of the pretty young things came into the office, he said: "EXXX, you should wear tighter dresses."

They just giggle @ him...it's a 'girlfriend" thing! ;)

If I said that...straight to HR! :uhoh:

We Americans are soooo prudish. I'd post some ads from British sport bike magazines but I'd probably get banned for posting porn. Picture the above advert but with less clothing.

You might also note that here we are on an independent internet forum discussing EAA, their advertising and their products,

I don't see many other threads inspired by other manufacturers ads...

Looks like it might be pretty effective to me

Effective? Not in the least. What it makes me want is, well, not a pistol.
