    Taurus 445 .44SPL Range Report

That's pretty good shootin especially with a 44 Snub. I use the Gold Dot Speer 200gr Spl rounds either in BlaZer or brass and they are very accurate, deliberatly devastating in wounding, and easy on recoil.

    Smith mountain guns

Back in the late 90s they made a stainless one. Then in 05 they made a blued one.

The BEST looking revolver in the joint >>

    Ranger 40: I had several of the Bangor Punta Smiths. In 1970 I purchased a Model 19 4" in 1972 I purchased a Model 19 2.5" and a Model 14 K-38. In 1974 I purchased a Model 27 5". I was a policeman during those years. The 19 4" had a crooked cylinder as one side was .004 wider than the other...

Who has used Jerry Miculek grip on N Frame?

I have a 625 JM and I have just ordered a set of Retro Targets from Ahrends in the Round to Square configuration in Cocobolo. I"m hoping they will give me more control. I don't wear this gun concealed.:)

Other Than A Smith & Wesson Model 642, Your NEXT Favorite Snub Nose Revolver Is ----?

If I had the ability to post photos I would show you my Colt Python 2.5" bbl that is blued and sporting a set of Ivory grips and a blue Tyler t grip.:) Don't carry or shoot it much as I prefer a Ruger SP 2.25" 357 as a walkaround gun. I'm afraid something will happen to the Colt; like a...

Reinforce my Belief of the GP 100

I have a 4" blued model built in the late 70's. It is accurate and strong. I find the GP series easy to customize. As I have small hands and I swapped the adjustable sighted grip for the concealed carry grip. Fits my hand perfectly. Took about a minute. Wolff spring kit, reading instructions...

    Python Birthday Needed

ewb45acp: Thanks for the info. I knew it had to be an older one. I've shot it a few times and it's very accurate and now I know what shooters mean when they talk about the perfection of the single action stroke on a Python.

    Python Birthdate desired!

Just purchased a Blued Python with a 2.5" bbl. Serial # is:30XXXE. Would like to know what year it was manufactured?

    Python Birthday Needed

I recently purchased a Colt Python 2.5" and the serial# range is:300XX. Could someone tell the year of manufacture. I have shot several Pythons but none had the smoothness of action as this one! SO I BOUGHT IT! For once I thought I would own the finest of something. At my age I'll never own a...

    nickled or blued S&W 21

I have one of the recently manufactured Model 22-4s in 45 ACP and I love this remake of the old 1950 Military. It's a great carry gun and the brass is easy to pick up. It's very accurate with 230 gr loads of most any sort. But it has little affection for anything at 185 or under. Great gun...

    Happydance! New (to me) SP101!

:) I've owned SPs since the second year Ruger started making them. I love the SP. Powerful, Strong and easy to conceal. Did I mention accurate. Only problem I know with an SP is the ability to reload quickly using a "speedloader" mine always hang up on the factory grips.

    SP101....what grips do you like?

Hogue rubber or wood and the Pachmayr now sold through Lyman is a great grip. I have both and it's a toss up. The Pachys are a little more concealable and give good cushion from 357s. But the Hogues point better and give better control.:)

Battle of the 44 mags: Ruger vs. S&W

While I prefer the Smith for its aesthics and shootability I have found that either of the two can take more punishment than my hands and wrists can. But I own and shoot Smiths.;)
