I hope I spelled that right. There is one priced at $339 at a local pawn shop. Was wondering if that is a fair price. Its doesn't look like a AK type gun at all much more rifle like.
This may have been taked about before but bare with me I'm still new.
I know if you shoot corrosive ammo thrrough my rifles you need to clean them with 1. hot soapy water with ammonia. 2. windex in a pinch.
My questions are..1 What is corrosive about the ammo and if its salts or alkali...
I have two pawn shops that will order at 10% over cost plus shipping only $15-20.
I see Mausers all the time at $250. One gun store here has a SKS for $350 :what: I'd try to do what patentnonsense said.
How many rounds to you all keep on hand you know for the just in case the world goes to hell in a hand basket. :)
I have 7 boxes of 12 gauge, 80 rounds of 7.62x54. 30 rounds of 303 (not near enough), and 10 boxes of 9 mil.
Makarov by far I'm not even sure you need to clean them (much). I know the more expensive guns you do. I like my Sig 239 as well and it has never jammed.
A local pawn shop has a German 1940 Mauser with Swastikas on it. He hasn't set a price on it yet but this seens like a deffinant collector. Which I'm NOT totally interested in. I just like the shoot them. So what is going to be a fair price?
Both of the Yugo Mausers are the same size M48, pretty sure, its just one is obviously made of different wood much denser and smoother. One was made in 1939 not sure on the other.
There is a bunch of Yugo SKS at a pawn shop here all between $120 to $150. They also have at least 10 Mausers...
1. Which are the "best" Mausers
I'm sure German are the best but is Yugo, Czech, Spanish or Turkish better than any of the others. And is there any to stay away from.
Our local shooting range has several Mausers for sale on consignment (some guys cleaning out his basement) that are pretty...
As a Makarvo owner nothing beats this gun for the prices. It lokks like hell but it shoots straighter than my Sig 239. :what: I love this gun. I hit the target at 50 feet and I don't shoot that much. I'd rather shoot my Enfield. :D
I bought the M-44 for (glup) $125. :banghead: It was really before I really knew the prices on guns. I'd be taking the 44 back to the same store so I would hope give me alittle more for it. I haven't seen a $50 M-44 anywhere maybe on the internet but the you pay 30-40 bucks in shipping. So...
