thanks...that was the reason for the question actually. i'm trying to pick up some more ammo, but didnt want to stockpile the wrong stuff. obamo-mania has definitely stimulated the ammo industry....not much left out there. at least its going to good homes instead of the gun-grabbing socialists!

from earlier in this thread....as far as someone "owning 5 or 50 and there's no reason to own 50"...i fall into the 50+ category and i have a reason....i love to shoot each and every one of them. i never sell, only buy, but if i did ever sell a firearm, it would not be "on the street" whatever...

hello all, my father-in -law is going to give my son a winchester model 94 next summer for graduation. from the serial number it was made in '29. he has owned the rifle since '61 and fired it only once. when he bought it back then, it was basically mint and he has kept it that way ever...

storm....no, mine is not the short slide version or two tone...thats a good looking smith ya got. mine is simpler looking with a little longer slide. to all....thanks for all of the good help, i was able to break it down and after some choice words, even get it back together. wish the lever pin...
