    ar 15 upper opinions...

I second ar15performance.com. I bought a 6.8spc upper from him, and he will be offering 5.56 as well. Top notch at price competitive to anything decent. I would choose his over CMMG anyday (I rolled the dice and lost with them), and over BM as well. As far as 6.8spc, I've NEVER had a...

    Noveske Rifle question

Love mine. Most accurate AR I've ever shot, and it's chrome-lined ;) Zero failures. Slightly heavier than a true "lightweight."

    AR15 Barrel steel ponderings 4150 4140 etc

From BCM site: Mil-Spec Barrel Steel (Mil-B-11595E) BCM barrel steel is Mil-Spec per MIL-B-11595E. The 4150 grade (CMV) of steel is a Mil-Spec steel used in the USGI M16 family of rifles; it is stronger and will last longer than the typical barrels offered in the commercial market. The...

How good are CMMG rifles ?

You have one, so shoot it and tells us how good it is! Their specs are satisfactory to me, and their choices are unparalleled. I've had problems with CMMG, and will not buy or recommend them, but you see many good reports...but bad ones, too...far more than Colt and LMT. To me, this means...

7mm rem mag in assault rifle?

    I've seen pics of Cobb/Bushmaster AR-10s in .30-06. http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=240563 Think you're outta luck with the 7mag.

Is there a way to make an AR15 extract like an AK ?

Mine throw at about 4:30, maybe 10 feet behind. I have zero problems with that. Go here and see a great chart if you want to tune your AR differently: http://68forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5609

    An AR Guide for Dummies?

The best info can be found in the general and technical AR sections at www.m4carbine.net They don't allow urban legends like you often see in gun rags, like "your AR MUST have an extractor donut," and "loc-tite is as good as staking." Much better signal to noise ratio than ar15.com

    6.8 spc info?

The first thing you should do is go to 68forums.com. Registering is painless and totally worth it, if you are contemplating buying a gun in this caliber. Obviously it won't keep up with a .270win or .308, but that's not the point. If you want less recoil and are even thinking about a 7.62x39...
