Is there a way to make an AR15 extract like an AK ?

Mine throw at about 4:30, maybe 10 feet behind. I have zero problems with that.

My Saiga .223 throws its empties at about one-thirty to two o' clock from my line of fire, a little high. As a left-handed shooter, I appreciate that. I was at the range with some snow on the ground, and when I got done, I could see them, a fan-shaped array about 25 to 30 feet from my position.

I shoot steel-cased cheapo's, so I don't care about the "AK kiss." They get thoroughly mangled. This can be remediated by applying some car door-edge molding around the top of the ejection port, to leave the brass reusable.

Be careful of reflective elements in the line of ejection.
