    Carry options for desk jockies?

I'm in the same position. If I get caught at work, it will cost me my job. Deep concealment is required. I played around with several different options. I tried the ankle holster but if you sit a lot, remember what happens to your cuff. It creeps up and can expose your gun. I have...

What kind of velocity - .45 ACP with Clays

I don't have access to a chrono and I need to get a general idea of what kind of velocity I'm getting with my ammo. Normally, I woulnd't care, but I'm shooting an IDPA match where they will be checking. I shoot 200 grain Rainer bullets with 4.1 grains of Clays powder. The power floor for...

4 y/o shot while hiding behind paper targets..

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking. I can imagine quite a few scenerios where a shooter does exactly what he is suposed to do and have all his safety precautions negated by unruly children or negligent parents. I'm not saying this shooter is without blame, but I am saying there certainly...

Be Honest What Do You Really Carry??????

Honestly? Its really split depending on what I'm wearing and my mood. Here's a list of possibilities, in order of how frequently I use them. Work: Springfield 1911 Micro Compact in an Action-Direct under shirt rig with 2 spare mags. Kel-Tec P3AT in a pocket holster The Micro in a...

How to legally buy first gun?

There is only two things that has not been mentioned about purchasing in VA. First, you will need two forms of ID if you buy at a gun store. Driver's license and voter reg, hunting license, CCW, car registration of something like that. Next is that this "gunshow loophole" is a crock of...

Does anyone have an AR-15 pistol?

They are painful in an indoor range. I have custom molded earplugs and muffs over the top and it still hurts my ears. The concusion is so dramatic that I feel it in my sinuses. The flash is blinding. It lights up the entire range. Its absurd. But that's why one buys one isn't it? :D

    Trijicon Accupoint scopes...

I never have understood the nose to charging handle method. I'm sure there is a good reason for it, but it escapes me. I'm of the Scout rifle school of thought where you use both eyes open for a full field of view and have a 2.5x magnified spot in your dominant eye, about 9" from your face...

    9x47mm CQB round ?

You could always use a .358 rifle bullet instead of a pistol bullet if you're concerned about fragmentation. Barnes and Hornady both make a 180 grain spire point in that caliber.

Ca and serial #s on bullets.....

This is exactly what we need to be doing as well to get our rights back. It can be done. Take a look at what has happened in VA over the last few years. We got a "shall issue" permit. Once we had that in place, it was an easy deal to get permit holders exempt from the old "one handgun a...

OK, what would you have done?

This is the key. This is why I also stop to help whenever something doesn't seem right. If it were my wife/girlfriend/daughter/mother in trouble, I sure as hell would want somebody to take note and see if they could help. Good for you 2A. You're a sheepdog and you did what sheepdogs do...

US Army buys 17,000 rifles from China

That just about summarizes everything that is wrong with this situation. As a Bush fan, this one really disappoints me.

    Trijicon Accupoint scopes...

I don't understand this statement. What do you mean by "scout" eye relief? The Accupoint is listed at 3.4" to 4.8". While that's a nice departure from the ACOG 1.5", its not even close to being a scout scope which requires a good 9" of eye relief to be useful.

    Am I toast?

yeah yeah... so, let's get to the meat of this... how's she look? Seems you did a good amount of smiling at her, maybe she'll be over later for something besides a check on your safe. :D
