I don't have access to a chrono and I need to get a general idea of what kind of velocity I'm getting with my ammo. Normally, I woulnd't care, but I'm shooting an IDPA match where they will be checking.

I shoot 200 grain Rainer bullets with 4.1 grains of Clays powder. The power floor for CDP means I need to be clocking 825 fps. I'm shooting a 5" barrel 1911 pistol. Am I going to be in trouble? Do I need to change my load or just buy some commercial ammo for the match?

Any help would be appreciated.

From my experience you are really close. Bump it up two tenths and call it good. The extra recoil won't make a bit of difference.
