    Lee Enfield question

A few years ago I bought Ian Skennerton's book "The Lee-Enfield. A century of Lee-Metford & Lee-Enfield Rifles & Carbines" ISBN 9780949749826. 608 pages of excellent information about the marque that is really worth the money. I can highly recommend it

    Greener GP Mk.II

This is a recent acquisition, a Greener G.P. single barrel 12g shotgun, Martini Action. It dates from about 1976 and is in mint condition. It was manufactured when Webley & Scott owned Greeners. Having checked the length of pull, it was necessary to lengthen...

    Bigiron Barrels

Gentlemen, I make NO apologies for my previous post here. I have stated what I know to be the truth about this person and stand by what I have said. Should he wish to include me in his current round of suing everyone then so be it. Might be a big mistake though.

    Bigiron Barrels

Back to the plot! If this lowlife is out and about then it should give the law a place to start tracking him, especially if he is suing everyone in sight. The man is an IDIOT and a total looser. He will foul up sooner or later. I just hope he does it without involving others.

1777 - what weapons would you choose to fight the redcoats?

I Would Think........ ............that the same argument regarding the use of parts of an army as a weapon ( volley fire ) rather than individuals would hold true by this time. Uniformity and training without years of practice favours a firearm where as an archer needed years of practice to...

1777 - what weapons would you choose to fight the redcoats?

That, my friend, would NOT give you 3 rounds a minute. The whole POINT of volley fire was to place as much lead in an area at the same time AND intimidate the enemy with the noise, smoke and rapidity of the fire. The Brown Bess, as an individual weapon was not supposed to be accurate. Why do you...

1777 - what weapons would you choose to fight the redcoats?

Pots calling the kettle black me thinks! Not a tack I feel an American should be taking................... You can't have individuals in a system designed for using drill moves as a weapon. It was the volley that did the damage not shooting an individual. Aiming would delay the process of...

    A bad Pietta Remington

Must be a US thing. My 1858 will strip right down without any problem. The screw that you are talking about I think is in the front of the pistol grip and should actually apply tension to the spring so it should move!
