I didn't fire my MAK-90 for 12 years and was pretty horrified to realize I hadn't cleaned it the last time I used it. Fortunately for me, it cleaned right up and looks great. After that experience, I think you should clean it after you use it to make sure you "get around to it".

Geez, I'm 43 and I say "dude" and "awesome" all the time. It's not like these two words were invented yesterday for exclusive use on the iPhone only by nonspeaking teenagers. In fact, I'm sure I heard lots of people say "awesome" after firing a gun in my lifetime (especially after good shots).
