Thinking of purchasing this 870 Wingmaster. Value?

So it's likely that someone early on just put on a 20" barrel and police furniture then, I'm guessing?

Thinking of purchasing this 870 Wingmaster. Value?

Thank you all for the replies. He was asking $500, but came down to $450 with about $20-$25 worth of ammo. I've been keeping my eye out for an older police model, but seems like this may fit the bill, assuming everything looks alright when I meet with him. And yes, it seems like almost all...

Thinking of purchasing this 870 Wingmaster. Value?

This is a 1979 Remington 870 Wingmaster. Seller says that it this is the original furniture and 20" barrel that it came with new. Most of the Wingmasters I see have checkering and longer barrels. It comes with the +3 magazine extension (with original magazine tube cap) and an extra 28" barrel...

    Sporterized Lee Enfield Value

Well, I ended up not doing the deal because I got a cash offer that I wanted. Plus, I was mainly interested in the Kahr, so I'm sure I would have wanted to sell the Lee Enfield after a little bit, so market value (not just what it's worth to me) was important. And last time I jumped too quickly...

    Sporterized Lee Enfield Value

I'm trading a Ruger LCR with a Bianchi holster and ammo, etc. that is worth, as a package, ~$450, but I would take $425. I would be receiving a Kahr CM9 with two extra mags (worth about $350 or so) and this Lee Enfield. It was going to be a straight trade, but the other interested party started...

    Sporterized Lee Enfield Value

I have a revolver listed on another site and have received a trade offer of a CM9 and Lee Enfield with ten round magazine, sling, two and a half boxes of ammo. Seller says there are no issues with the Lee Enfield and it's in good shape with a nice bore. He said the only wear is on the outside...

    J-frame cylinder question

Yeah, I'm definitely going to have them fix it. I like small DIY stuff, but nothing like that. The black on the frame has rubbed off at the bottom of the frame where the cylinder hits it (to where the shiny, silver metal is shining through), so I guess it has just worn it down over time...

    J-frame cylinder question

That's what I thought. I was trying to do different searches on it, but couldn't really find anything. I saw one post that I thought alluded to my problem, but wasn't sure. How common is this?

    J-frame cylinder question

So my J-frame 360PD .357 started doing something really strange. When the cylinder is open, the cylinder can slide rearward, past the recoil shield (and come all the way off if the grips are removed). What is supposed to prevent this from happening? It's already supposed to go back to S&W...

    Browning Hi-Power Cost?

I am looking at getting a 1993 Browning Hi-Power in 9mm. It's supposed to be in good condition (though I haven't seen it in person yet). Comes with box and two 13-round magazines. The asking price is $600. It seems like this is a good price, but I'm not sure. What is the typical price for...

    Can someone ID this rifle?

Someone on the person's original post said that it is a "Flobert" style action and that most were rimfire of low pressure and the action isn't strong enough to stand up to much more than a rimfire. I've looked it up because i had never heard of it, but I don't know much about it.

    Can someone ID this rifle?

Okay. I got some more pictures.

    Can someone ID this rifle?

Someone asked about it on a Facebook group page and all they stated was "Can anyone tell me anything about this rifle? It has an octagon barrel and no stamps or markings anywhere". I've done a little searching, but my knowledge on older firearms is VERY limited. And this is the only picture:

    How'd I do?

I got the gun today and it looks amazing. I'd say 99% even (pretty much LNIB). And it was a 686 plus, which is what I really wanted. Only bad thing is that it's missing the rear sight elevation stud, but I'm sure S&W will send me one, and if not, it's only $5, so eh. I didn't know triggers...

    How'd I do?

Thanks for all of the feedback, guys. I definitely appreciate it. And PabloJ, I actually did the opposite. I sold an AR and some high cap guns while the prices were high (because they were worth more to others than they were to myself) and tried to put money into things that hadn't gone up...
