Just traded away my 43 Star on a Ruger Mark II. Was a fine shooter(heavy) but sat in the safe too long. Man, that felt good in the hand, but always worried about parts. Hope to not regret the change.
Inherited nice M-1A. first shot was fine. After that it misfired with light hits on primer. Never used one as an old sailor, so wonder what might cause this. Probably should strip and clean. (a little spooky to me) Maybe should take to gunsmith. What do you old soldiers think? Thank you.
Does anyone else have a curved seating for their slide spring to sit on? Ours doesn't rest on a ledge like my Glocks and seems to move around a bit. You can feel it rub while racking, and my daughter has a hard time getting the slide to catch during the cleaning process. Hard to find closeups...
Why haven't we seen (at least me) any video of take down and reassemble procedures on this piece? Those rings on the barrel make me wonder how much pull is needed for the job.
1955, buttloading Winchester 22 while resting barrel on foot. Kept it out of the snow that way. Finished loading, pheasant flew up about 3 feet away and I shot my foot. Still have little blue spot between my toes. Yes, it did get infected. Surprised that teen has made it to just about 70.
Lets visit the Brits and see how safe they are at home. My cousin lives there and says it's crazy when only the lawless are armed. Anti-gun politician whom ever should be run off like a turpentined dog. Thank you.
