    Had the same problem with my PO-1 and HP ammo. Changed ammo and all was good.

    Shield or PPS?

    Own a PPS that has worked just fine for years. I bought it slightly used for $400 with 3 mags. I consider it a bargain and would recommend it highly. Have only held the shield but it appears to have good ergo's as well. The back strap concern on the PPS is a non issue IMO.

    bersa thunder 380

    I have a duotone model with the 9 round mag. All around good gun. They also have a 22 version of the same gun. I picked one up for cheaper plinking.

    I have a version in 40 that has been very reliable. The only down fall is the price of mags. Glad mine came with 3. Good shooting!

    $300 for a handgun?

    The magic words "Lay away". Most of the guns I want are at least $400. Gives you a month to save the other $100.

    Walther P99 vs PPQ..I went with the P99.

    I have a P99cAS and a pps 9 mm. Bought both used for $400 a piece. The pps came with 3 mags.(the only down side of walthers IMO mag prices) Good luck with yours!

    Phoenix HP 22, worth it?

    Bought a used Phoenix hp 22 that has been a great reliable pistol. "Adjusting" the mag safety makes it that much better. I would call it the hi point of 22's only looks a lot better. Lifetime warranty. What's not to like for a $100+ gun.

    Try the Kahr CM-9 the PM-9's cheaper twin brother.

    Kahr PM-9 vs. Beretta Nano

    If the price is a deal breaker for the PM-9 try the CM-9. $400 Same size, weight, trigger... Only comes with a chrome slide. Mine has been problem free. I like the slide lock back over the nano's lack of one as well.

    The biggest "quirk" to over come with the P-11 is the awful DA trigger IMO.
