I get "made" all the time because I wear a "gunnysac", and do not look like a tourist, but I am ok with that. The cop's know who is carrying, so what?, and if the MZB/thug's know than maybe they will move on down the line, and not bother me.

I have a simple question. How would the attackers know it would be a gunfight until after they provoked it? I always have a weapon handy, but do not flash it around, and anyone attacking me would find out quickly, but not before giving probable cause to fear for my continued exsitence

In my not so humble opinion, I would stick with a single caliber and opt for the SKS. It would be cheaper, IIRC you could get 2 for the price of a CETME, and the AK, and SKS feed a common shel, so You only need to stock 1.

I know this might be beating the dead horse, but my AIT drill sgt. Msgt McDougal taught us that a MOS was what you did during garrison duty, but everyone in a uniform was a 11b as a additional MOS, and that was what you did in combat.

With a DAO(Double Action Only) autoloader a round in the chamber is a approved carry method, but still reqiures the attention, and respect given to a SA(Single Action) autoloader. I carry a Daewoo, and always have a round in the pipe, and a full magazine.

A Tap is used to cut the threads inside a hole, whereas a Die is used for threading a rod IE. making a bolt. DRill and Tap describes th eact of drilling a hole, and cutting threads to receive the screws for a scope mout, or other accessory. I hope this answers the question.

I use a AAA Mini-Mag Solitare down the barrel of my .54 cal front loader, and it allows all but the last 2" ot be seen, as the light is that long. I found that it fits in a Altoids tin along with the other jigs needed for field maint., and stores on the back pouch of my possibles bag.

IMNSHO if you use a knife properly the target does not get to see it. The shiv is intended for cutting not flashing, and should be used as such, I feel the knife is a suitable CCW tool, but not as a deterent, by waving it about, but by cutting quick, deep, and wide.

IIRC the last time this topic came up the gernerals were wearing dragonskin, and requiring the grunts to wear interceptor. I have seen the cutrrent system, and prefer the dragonskin to it in the enviroment of SWA because the ceramic trauma plates are bulky, and brittle. The dragonskin would not...

i do not have cable/dsl/sattelite, or anything more hi-tech than a set of rabbit ears. Mosy of what is on is garbage, I do not want to import anymore trash into my house than I need to. I don't even watch except for the news anymore, and cant stomach most of that.

Had a AL permit while stationed a Ft McClellan, and then got a GA permit in May 1998. Have not needed to draw on anyone, but I do keep a personal alert level a couple of degrees higher that the HS clowns do.
