Ok im going a gun show on sunday....price is an issue....so im looking at either an sks or cetme...i know i ask the same question alot ....but this is buying time...what gun is more fun and accurate...i already have an ak...help me...looking for a fun and decently accurate semi auto shooter less than 400

what gun is more fun and accurate

Well, it's all a matter of personal opinion as to which one is more fun. To me all rifles are fun, but only accurate and reliable rifles are interesting. If you can find a well put together CETME, and that's a big 'if', then grab it. With the CETME you will get a much harder hitting caliber and detachable mags. Reliability may be spotty but most are fixable. Although the SKS is a neat rifle the 7.62x39 is not in the same league as the 7.62 Nato. You'll most likely get a reliable rifle that will not need fixing. Accuracy is probably a wash between the two, but a well built CETME should be the more accurate design.

In my not so humble opinion, I would stick with a single caliber and opt for the SKS. It would be cheaper, IIRC you could get 2 for the price of a CETME, and the AK, and SKS feed a common shel, so You only need to stock 1.

You're more likely to find a good SKS at a comfortable price point than you are a good CETME. If are really concerned about the bottom line, I would go SKS.

If it was me? I'd get the CETME. I'm more concerned about what you end up with in the end.

There are a lot of junk CETMEs out there. You can thank Century Arms.

The SKSs haven't been monkeyed with, so if you find one that is not corroded or beat up, you should be OK.

If you want a decent semi .308 for cheap, get a Saiga in .308. They are reliable and accurate.
