    .22s get no love

Although I bought a Walther P22 primarily for my fiance, I love shooting that gun. Its a fun little piece, and I picked it up for ~ $250. Like Coronach said, .22s can be finicky about ammo, so don't stock up too soon. Also, avoid Remington Thunderbolt ammo at all costs.

    Silencing an AR15

+1 on both. Never dealth with anyone on arfcom, but I know tons of gear moves through there. Adco is great.

How many of you Post/Read this forum at work?

Yeah, I post during my "down time" at work. Working in manufacturing, you have a lot of hurry up and wait, so that's where THR helps out.

    870 "J" Safety

I just bought an 870 HD a few months ago from Gander Moutain. 18" barrel, synthetic stock, and yep, the "j" safety. I don't lock it, so its just a normal safety to me.

I suppose spud guns are firearms, right?

Schedule 40 PVC should be fine, as long as it has a pressure (PSI) rating printed on it. I used schedule 40 for a mean little propane spud gun I made as part of a college project  As far as the ratios go, you want a 1:1 to 1.5:1 combustion chamber to barrel ratio. You should be safe...

    My new XD9 Subcompact

Nice gun rcellis, welcome to the XD club! I agree that the wearing on the slide looks good - shows that the gun gets used. My CTAC definitely has left its mark on my XD9 Service.

Just Think About it / M1 Garand

That "American History" bit is the best reason for owning one of these fine firearms, IMO.

    Handcuffs for the home

Haha yep. I definitely wouldn't want to move in close enough to cuff a BG. Although I do have a set of cuffs, they are only for "recreational" uses. :D

    Attacked in the restroom.

That's my feelings too, Zundfolge. For the same reasons I prefer to be in a locked stall.

Man killed after handing over money in MD

I have heard to carry a gun. Then the BG will be running the other way.

    problem with Rem 870 disassembly...

Is there a clamp holding your barrel to your mag extension? Looks something like: (O) (O) You first have to remove that clamp (screwdriver), then the mag extension should come right off. Mine was finger tight. After that clamp is off, just grab the mag extension where its ridged and...

Home Protection for a Total Newbie

Not to be a naysayer, 'Card, but shotguns will penetrate walls. You're not going to want to use birdshot for self defense. True, buckshot doesn't penetrate as far as a pistol or rifle round, but its still going to tear through an apartment. One source of this info is the ever popupular Box O...

    Interesting misloaded 9mm round (picture)...

+1 on emailing/contacting Speer with the Lot #. There's not much the store can do, but Speer can address the issue.
