Check this one out. Found it in a box of Speer Lawman 9mm. Obviously, I'm not going to fire it. Should I take it back to the store so they know about it?

Definitely, if only for safety. Check the other rounds in that batch. If this is the only one, that's not *so* bad in the sense it could be an isolated lapse in QC. I'd check the last round or two in the mag to make sure the rounds are loaded properly as they would be the ones that would set back during recoil.

However, a local shop out here had some ammo dropped by the UPS folks during delivery and the way it was packaged (i.e. poorly) many of the rounds in the bottom layer were significantly set back. They got a refund care of UPS.

I think I would give every round in that box a good squeeze on the bullet to make sure the crimping die wasn't taking the day off that day. I could see a little overpressure problem. Might wanna email Speer with the lot number on the box.

+1 on emailing/contacting Speer with the Lot #. There's not much the store can do, but Speer can address the issue.

contact Speer about it. You may get a free box.

A buddy of mine found a few Hydra-Shoks like that in .40S&W.
Federal was happy to send him a new box free of charge.
