Spend the money on more ammo and more range time. You won't need a stupid laser if your body automatically knows where to point your gun without thinking about it.

Since you've already considered a revolver, you probably realize you're not going to need more than six rounds for home defense anyway. At least that's what I keep in my shotgun. If you like the 627, get that, by all means. A bad ass gun, and sure to be a lot of fun for a long time...

How much?

It's a .45 in a larger package than the easily manageable PM40. I couldn't see myself having any problem with the recoil. Comparing it to a featherweight .357 is ridiculous, and I'd even an all-steel .357 would make this feel like a full size 9mm.

SP101 came in .32 H&R. It's bigger and way heavier than the 642. I can't think of any revolvers specifically designed for .32. If the 642 is too big, maybe you should consider carrying something besides a gun. Or, hell, get a derringer.

This thread is nuts. Why bother with a ladysmith? Get a standard 60 and buy a pair of badger grips, or better yet, get an SP101. Carrying a ladysmith is like driving a Miata. It really doesn't matter how you attempt to justify it, it's still emasculating. If you really want a "fun little gun"...

I have a Galco SkyOps that is quite comfortable. I prefer it to my previous IWB holsters for the HP even when I'm not tucking my shirt in over it.

Seems like a total waste of money. Are you worried about someone grabbing your gun? Keep it concealed, and keep it locked up when it's not on you. Spend the $250 on a safe instead.

That's something I forgot to post. I've taken it apart and reassembled several times just to see if I hadn't gotten the trigger group in right (which I've done many times before, and never had this problem). With the hammer out, everything cycles fine, no matter the orientation of the gun.
