    Shurefire E2D on an Airplane

Hey all, I'll be flying quite a bit soon and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience carrying a Shurefire E2D through airport security. I'll probably leave it in my carry on, but I don't want to have to risk checking it in the instance that they want to take my $110 flashlight. I'll...

    Nickle M-10

Nice find. I'd love to get my hands on a DPD gun.

    357 max vs. 1911

A couple posts got close, but what I feel nails it is whether you want a shooter or a safe queen. Obviously, if you want a shooter, go with the 1911. It's gonna be a lot easier to find, but hey, you can shoot the crap out of it! If you want a gun to put away, get the Ruger. You don't really...

Make the investment and the commitment to go to laser grips?

Spend the money on more ammo and more range time. You won't need a stupid laser if your body automatically knows where to point your gun without thinking about it.

    686+ vs. 627 Pro

Since you've already considered a revolver, you probably realize you're not going to need more than six rounds for home defense anyway. At least that's what I keep in my shotgun. If you like the 627, get that, by all means. A bad ass gun, and sure to be a lot of fun for a long time...

    How much?

    Kahr PM45

It's a .45 in a larger package than the easily manageable PM40. I couldn't see myself having any problem with the recoil. Comparing it to a featherweight .357 is ridiculous, and I'd even an all-steel .357 would make this feel like a full size 9mm.

    midi-revolver?

SP101 came in .32 H&R. It's bigger and way heavier than the 642. I can't think of any revolvers specifically designed for .32. If the 642 is too big, maybe you should consider carrying something besides a gun. Or, hell, get a derringer.

    $300 Gp100?

I got my SS 3" for $300 under a year ago.

Are Lady Smith's just for Ladies?

This thread is nuts. Why bother with a ladysmith? Get a standard 60 and buy a pair of badger grips, or better yet, get an SP101. Carrying a ladysmith is like driving a Miata. It really doesn't matter how you attempt to justify it, it's still emasculating. If you really want a "fun little gun"...

How to best carry a BHP

I have a Galco SkyOps that is quite comfortable. I prefer it to my previous IWB holsters for the HP even when I'm not tucking my shirt in over it.

    SP101 grip inserts

His inserts are great, and he really stands behind his product. I ordered a set for my GP100, and when they were too thin to work with the factory screw (I probably lost the shorter one he usually includes), he made me a brand new, thicker pair at no charge! I also bought a set for my SP101...

    used Ruger KGP-161

I got a 3" used for $300. Why is the stainless 6" $60 more than the stainless 4"? I can't imagine why a 6" blued costs more than the stainless 4" either. The MSRPs for 4" and 6" in the same finish are the same, and the 3" is $20 less (I assume this has to do with the fixed sights and not a...

    Magna Trigger

Seems like a total waste of money. Are you worried about someone grabbing your gun? Keep it concealed, and keep it locked up when it's not on you. Spend the $250 on a safe instead.

    Ruger GP-100 functional problems

That's something I forgot to post. I've taken it apart and reassembled several times just to see if I hadn't gotten the trigger group in right (which I've done many times before, and never had this problem). With the hammer out, everything cycles fine, no matter the orientation of the gun.
